Polylines work great also. Attached are a few renderings where the shower walls, granite wall cap and glass are all polylines.

I've had this happen all the time in the past. Someone suggested to clear the clipboard. As soon as I did all worked fine. Now I have a clear clipboard icon on the quick launch bar and when this starts I click the icon and all is good..

I deleted the bow window completely, started over and inserted a new bow and entered the width and depth. Looking at it in both plan and camera view the windows show to have no framing between them but as CA default they are only 36" tall. I select one of the windows and changed the width to 22" as I need and all i still ok...but as soon as I changed the height to 72" it automatically is putting framing between each window and narrowing them to 11". I dont have a clue. Bug, operator error, I shouldn't be working on a Sunday... Im at a loss

Lets try this again. Closed plan then zipped Day Kitchen As Built Roof.zip

Eric, If you see my attached screen shot I have those selections made

Connect outer casing is checked. I can tab and open one of the windows but it will only resize to a max of 11" wide where I need 22" wide which they would be without the framing between them

I am trying to draw a 5 unit bow window without any framing between each window (See attached pic) After I insert ans size the bow then resize the actual windows it still shows framing between each window. Have been a Chief user since 8.0, have always paid the SSA for two license and felt I got what I paid for. Seeing this occur seems it could just be the tip of the iceberg. Extra charge here and there (for now) whats next??? Hate to see it happen to loyal users over the years. It's like others have said, we are SO vested in Chief that the thought is we wont go anywhere and bow down. Maybe some will, some wont but why should it seem shady? Next we will have to enter a dime in the slot to ask a question on Chief Talk.

I have a project we are installing a new retro frig by Big Chill. I have looked at 3D WH and only found a SMEG. Does anyone have a symbol like the photo I have attached. Thanks

Im not sure if this is the best route but I change the UAC from its recommended setting in the middle to the lowest Never Notify. After doing that, Ive stopped getting the hang ups but this may have created a security issue.

Tried that. It states it will close and reopen the program then I get this. Again I would think its a PC OS issue but it is only do this with Chief after i loaded X8

I just loaded X8 onto my laptop ive been using for a while now and every time Ive tried to open X8 and now X7 I get a message that I dont have the admin rights. Im the only user on my laptop, only my account and im set as the administrator. I only get this message when trying to open X8 and now X7 which ran fine up to now. Has anyone had this issue. May be a PC setting but I am the Admin but Chief says i need to have admin rights to open???? Should've noted i have Windows 10

Average $100-125K kitchen, I'll spend anywhere from 20-30 hours

I have noticed a substantial lag time when going into a few CORE libraries that was not there in any previous version. The main one is light fixtures. There has always been a longer lag with user libraries Ive imported that are large such as Kohler, GE and similar but never had these lags in the core libs.

Would it be out of the question to start a topic where we could upload a copy of our layer sets for sharing? I do 100% remodels and would like to see and compare how others have their layer sets set up. Just a thought but I'm sure someones set could help someone else save time and energy. If so. I will upload mine.

Does anyone know of a good video or could explain the best way to draw a simple dutch roof. If there is a such thing as a "Simple" Dutch roof. We are doing a small room addition that will get into the area slightly so I need to make sure the as built is correct. Pics attached. Thanks Bunches

I had to almost do a strip search but I found it. It was a very old wall type that had an obsolete exterior finish. The only reason this happened is due to using a 5 year old plan but it still saved a lot of time. Anyway it would still be nice to be able to look at the plans material list and see everywhere that a particular material is being used.

I am reusing an old 2011 plan for a new project that has the same exact floor plan and there is an old brick material in it and whenever I render I get the statement that it can not find the pattern or graphic file for that material. I have searched materials for the floors, wall layers, roof and everything I can think of and cannot find where that materials is being used as I don't see it in any of the renderings but it is shown in the plan material list. Is there a way to show what materials are being used where or on what object, surface, etc? Thanks

I've had the issue of when I've imported a PDF image into a layout it looks fine on screen but when I either print the plans out or email the plans all the PDF images are extremely blurred and unrecognizable.

Line weight are on. You are correct... The line weight must be MUCH large in layout. I changed one from 1 to 10 with no visible difference but changing to 75 did it.
