UPDATE: I totally uninstalled X9, rebooted then reinstalled a fresh copy. All seemed to work ok until I updated the default data file that was loaded during the install with my backed up copy that had the bonus and user libraries. Once done, I rebooted and when I opened X9 I got the same Windows error. So this last time I did the same uninstall / reinstall but I copied the data file from my main PC onto a flash drive and replaced it on my laptop and now all seems to be back to normal. Ill see what blows up between now and in the morning.

Im not sure what you are referring to as far as Anniversary or Creators.

My laptop runs Windows 10. Attached are the updates that ran just minutes after I was working on a plan.

I was working on a plan this morning with no issues and when I went to shut my laptop down Windows downloaded updates. When I rebooted and tried to open the same plan I got a message that Chief was either not designed to run on Windows or has an error. Has anyone else had this issue?

Ill try again but they keep snapping to the wall behind the cabinet to to the front of the cabinet and not the side

Did the outlets that we could apply to the end of an island or side of a cabinet get removed. I know they used to be in the "Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing" library of the core. Now there is Ceiling, Floor and Surface mounted but no longer cabinet mounted. I cant get the surface mounted to snap to the side or end of a cabinet?

Great input from all. Alt Q did change the reference point that I was looking for. I drew a wall that I wanted 20' long but when I draw another wall off the end of that wall it changes / decreases the first walls length. When I open the wall dbx and re-enter the 20' wall length it will not change it.

90% of our projects are interiors (Kitchens & Baths) . We are going to be doing an entire home remodel and I need a refresher on exterior wall dimensions please. When drawing the first exterior wall at a certain length is not an issue. Lets say the wall (outside brick to outside brick) is 8'-5 1/2" i can see the length while drawing or open the wall and just enter the wall length. However, when the next connecting wall is drawn the first wall length changes by the width of the new wall. Whats the best way to fix this issue. I assume you could select the first wall and enter the length but it still only dimensions from the main (framing) layer. In previous versions, to change the main layer in the wall definitions it was just a check on what you wanted the main layer to be but I don't see that in X9. Is this the best way or is there another way while drawing exterior walls to have dimensions reference the outside brick surface? See attached. Thank you so much for any help

Over the past week, I have worked a several plans and it has been the same in each. Each time I have a key stroke, move / open / resize an object, there seems to be a delay with everything. Scrolling thru the library used to be fast but now lags. Using the paint brush to change colors on cabinets I was able to paint each cabinet and it kept up with me with no problems. No I paint one cabinet part and wait a second or two before moving to the next. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a fast PC with a great processor and graphics. It only lags in Chief and no other program I use

I was working on a plan on my desktop, backed up the plan and opened it on my laptop and the top toolbar has disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else

What setting is there to show a separation (stile) between double drawers and that reveal space can be adjusted. I see you can select to have a stile between doors but not drawers or where you can specify what the reveal for each are. See attached photo where the base cabinet doors are butt doors but the drawers have a 2" visible stile between them. Even with selecting to show stiles between double doors, i dont see where that stile reveal can be specified. Thanks

Tommy It doesn't happen every time but it is always when a wall cabinet is butting into a taller cabinet. I've seen this over the past several versions

Has anyone else had the issue where when an upper wall cabinet connect to a tall cabinet (usually a tall oven or pantry cabinet) the crown molding of that wall cabinet protrudes into the interior of the taller cabinet? See attached. Thanks
