That's not in my skill set.

The Chef model ('Pyracantha coccinea 1' in 3D Plants) shows plenty of berries but the leaves look skimpy and grey. There are only two material options, the bark (specified as 'bark') and the branch which is and image of berries and leaves.

That's what I was afraid of, thanks for taking a look Michael. Any thoughts on where I can find a decent, Chief compatible model? I've already tried 3D Warehouse, Turbo Squid, CG Trader (where this model came fro) and many others. There is a nice model in Chief but it doesn't meet the customer's spec. - Eric

Putting each option into it's own layer is one way to do it. If it's a single floor project, you could just create a separate floor for each option.

I have a 3D symbol for a plant (Pyracantha Firethorn) which I need for a current project but it is far too big to bring into Chief. Is there anyone who can convert this to a Chief compatible format and size? https://www.dropbox.com/s/r9i9mb8i1ovcmq6/Pyracantha coccinea.zip?dl=0 - Eric

If you don't need to do any further editing on the house, you can convert it to a symbol (from a 3D view - Tools/Symbol/Convert to Symbol) and then place it in your plan.

Thanks Mick, that worked pretty well. - Eric

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Sorry all, it seems like I opened up a hornet's nest with my terminology so 'symbol' it is. Kbird - Thanks for you suggestion but what I need is cascading juniper, that spills over the wall as in this example:
-
Call them what you like, they're still icons to me.
-
I've always referred to symbols as icons (as do many online libraries) I guess it's just what you're used to.
-
A model of an object, what your library is full of.
-
Import the image into your user library as a new material and then specify it as the image for your frame in the DBX for the frame.
-
Yes, as in a library icon.
-
Does anyone have an icon for cascading Blue Mat Juniper?
-
Simple solution, just turn on 'Opaque Window Glass' in Rendering Technique Options.

Have you tried posting your request on Houzz? Lot's of designers there. -
Thanks for posting this, Glenn's method did the trick (after a bit of experimenting).

Open the DBX (edit active view) for the camera, you'll find 'Tilt Angle' in the 'Positioning' section.

I'm looking for ideas on the best way to build a curved, terraced garden. This garden is just one of many different areas in a larger garden. Each individual garden area is enclosed by 10' high concrete walls (no roof) with a 15' wide path running down the middle. Here are a couple of images that show what I'm working with: Section The section I'm working on now is #1-'Terrace Garden' The terraces all have a stone face with a soil planting bed. My initial thought is to build this from polylines but I'm wondering if there's a better way. Thanks in advance for your suggestions - Eric

I purchased Zinstall and it migrated everything from my old computer to the new one with only a few minor issues which were easily resolved (their tech support is very helpful). Thanks Joe for posting about this software, it was easy to use and saved me alot of time. - Eric
