Thanks all. I had not downloaded that bonus library. That will work.

I was looking in the library but could not find such and item. Are any in the library or bonus libraries?

Here is another one by the city of Portland with easy to read graphics. I believe the information is redundant. Basically, you can design a deck to meet these standards without an engineer. If the deck is more than a few feet off the ground the question arises, "Do you want an engineer to CYA?". DECK BUILDING GUIDELINES.pdf

Lost Wall Patterns In Vector Elevations Only
Gawdzira replied to denovodesign's topic in General Q & A
Post your plan or it's just guessing. -
Did you rotate the texture or the pattern? I think you did not rotate the texture or those lines would reorient. But, without having the plan file to look at.....

Yes, I send to layout early in the process. My first prints will be either the as built or very rough elevations that are used as the base for a lot of layers of trace paper. I need those at scale and the easiest way for me to track that is by sending to layout. I have title blocks in my layout file for 8.5x11, 11x17 (both horizontal and vertical) and for 24x36. Once I am done with design development my layout boxes get rescaled and moved accordingly for the construction documents.

I can understand that you may print from the plan file (as some do) but I never do that. I am always working with a layout file open that I am feeding images. That way, for plan views and elevation views, I will be printing at a known scale. I even will often include a graphic scale so that if someone does not print out at the correct size they have a scale for reference. I am assuming the blue box you were referring to is the sheet size indicator in the plan file?

Post you plan and I will try and output a pdf file for you. Are you trying to print 8.5 x 11 sheets from the plan file or from a layout file?

Your drawing sheet and paper size should match, ideally. That is the reason for the unusually large quantity of pages.

Why Do My Walls Sometimes Show Brick On The Inside?
Gawdzira replied to Electromen's topic in General Q & A
For materials, make your cabinets out of specific materials: Door Color Cab Base color Toe kick color Etc. Then, when you change that color from red to blue, everything with that assignment will change. Anno sets are for creating construction documents. If you are not making con docs you may not see their power. -

More importantly, why are you not using Annotation sets? 5 minutes to learn, 15 minutes to set up for your plan (which can then be copied to all plans) and it will save you at least 5 hours a week for the rest of your natural life. I don't know what you bill an hour but that 5 hours a week buys me a lot of donuts. -

Make your drywall thickness on the abutting walls match at either 5/8 or 1/2 and then snap that interior wall to the exterior corner at the correct location. -
Larry, I am not that far away. You know I will come down there with my dogs and leave a present on your lawn if you are printing directly from the plan file....

Are you printing from Plan or Layout?
-
Mick, you will need to delete the current pin to task bar and reassign the one with the updated icon.

Now I am more confused. 1. What is your goal? 2. Can you post an image of what you are getting vs. what you want? 3. Are you looking for a colored design image of your floor plan?

You might want to post this in the general questions area. It tends to get a lot more looks. You will also be more likely to get a wider perspective.

1. Are you sending to layout or printing from the plan file? 2. Yes, that is the way Vector will work. Only B&W.
