Set your layout sheet (or select template) for the sixe you want and then print the layout sheet settting the PDF printer to match the layout sheet. I do mostly 11x17 landscape and it works great.

Yes, measure the interior of the exterior walls. You can draw new interior walls close to the exterior and then using the temporary dimensions set the distance from the interior to the exterior to zero. The interior wall will snap up against the exterior and when you put in windows an opening will be created between both walls. I sometime will mix wall types. Using conventional framing in some areas and In-So-Fast walls in others. This is good especially where space is limited. You will need to make a new wall type for them. Google In-So-Fast for videos on those walls. There are lots of them. Always start with the existing then save a copy to a new name to start your design. FYI - if this is being done for others and permitting you need to know about fire blocking in a lot of areas of the country!

Mark - You'll have to move to Florida, we are relocating to THe Villages in May. Really though, you never use 3" spacing?

Thanks Graham. I guess I will have to report it. Do you have any idea of situations where it happens? I did not pay enough attention to see what may be causing it.

I have default cabinet resize set to 3" but often when I stretch a cabinet I get intermittent sizes and have to open the dbx and set it there. Anyone else having this problem? Or can you think of another setting I might be missing? Using X8, need to change my profile.....

Some "items" in Sketchup are actually a material applied to a surface and not 3D objects. I don't think there are many but there are some. Of course they won;t impot as symbols. All the others should be OK though. You may also need to download an earlier version of SU then the latest to work with X6. That is easily done in their download process.

since you showed me yours I'll show you mine....;o) You are on a MAC right? Maybe only for Windows?
