That's right

Neither in 3ds max, only one layer - geo0-positions-node. We have been requesting for an FBX file extention since the old forum, (I think it was Bryce who first asked for this) it retains texture orientation and layers. File size is light compared to all file extentions we have presently in Chief..

I have no problem opening imported 3ds files in Max. try to check/uncheck 3ds export options. Mine says improper file format if I uncheck truncate texture names to 8.3.

Here's a texture I posted in 2006, V10, POVRay era.

It is black until you turn on Use Photon Mapping in the Ray Trace Options.

Nice Lumion Movies, Mr Bob Shofner!
-
You're welcome!

I thought they have fixed this issue. Call tech support or send your zipped Database Libraries from the CA premiere xx Data.

You are welcome.

Yes (one way of turning off lights), When you turn off light in Adjust Lights it will stay as off. Just uncheck the slots.
-
Turn off lights in the Camera view lighting tools> Adjusts lights.
-
By the way, unchecking Enable Environmental Light will decrease RT time. Your 6 passes is good enough for this.
-
Here are my typical exterior raytrace settings that You can try. A) General Increase number of passes to get rid of the pixelation. Try 10 passes or more. B )Lighting Uncheck Use CAmera View settings and use a dark grey or skyblue color. Ambient Occlusion: min. .1 - max. 3 or 4 Direct Sunlight: 4 to 6 C) Advanced Check only the Use Photon Mapping. Caustics and Depth of field are taking too much time to compute, prolonging render time. (You may also uncheck them altogether specially for exterior shots. Lighting Settings above may compensate enough for their absence). D) Image properties Contrast - 60%

It's very fast indeed. Glad you are using it now.

Hi Ozgur, What grass plugin are you using? They look good. I like the 4th rendering the most.
-
You do have sunbeam in your picture.
-
Hi M, There is a lot of good B/B texture from Certainteed in the Manufacturers' Catalog that you can Download.
-
Try to use Ambient Occlusion instead of uniform Intensity and see what happens.
-
Can you post your raytrace settings as well?
-
It is best to set raytraces to no limit than to see a halfbaked image,
