Watch Scotts video on how to make a custom door and just add a dog door to it.

I like to keep all my sections live, to me it's a waste of this program to use "cad to view" unless you are drawing a detail. I hardly ever use it. After some practice you can use mask's to cover up errant lines, like a p-line with an earth fill. first thing to understand is to place your section line in the right place. then create your model as good as you can. I really don't ever have any problems keeping it live at all. That's as the program was meant to be. Can you imagine moving a wall or a foundation, or roof using cad to view. If you have already annotated it, could be a mess to fix. keeping it live, you just open it up and close it---FIXED.

Roof Plane Display Takes Multiple Click To Turn Off/on...
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Could be some kind of mouse problem, I also do not have the problem. -
You also won't see the mirror effect if you have an old mirror material in your lib. This was new in X6 so make sure you use that one.

By using what Glen said "Edit wall layer intersections" you can drag the individual wall layers where you want them. New in X6

Funny thing is if I change the 14" wall thickness to 9" it goes away.

Make sure your roof lines are straight and not tweaked, looks like a soffit to me. also looks like a curved roof, could be a bug.

Yes I also like the ASUS's, they make the motherboards on most computers these days, how can you go wrong. They also have interchangeable video card capabilities. Jon Would you like to buy me a dual 8 core Xeons, I know up there in Washington, you guys like Bill Gates live up there. Say hi to cousin Bill for me. I was just born there and for some reason my parents left when I was 1. I like cooler and rainier weather. Should have been adopted- 36 replies

What I would do is copy the old plan using edit area copy function ( all floors) and paste it to a new X6 profile plan. You will have to fix up those things that weren't in 9.5 (the new tools). Or it will just change to what defaults you have set for those new items. Then you can change the background color.

It' the behavior indicators symbol, leave it on , it tells you when some tools are on so you can turn it off. without it you would never figure it out why your system is acting badly.

I love my Alienware, bought it several years ago and just upgrade parts as I need them. I paid over 3,000 back then but it has been able to keep up at a fast pace with a few alterations. I've added a 1tb ssd drive,(can't live without one now), and an NVidia 780gtx video card and I'm flying. Curt Puget--nice site the system I put together cost $6,000, I better charge more- 36 replies

Your question didn't ask us anything about all that other stuff, just the book. I bought my own if I wanted it.
