When we get to 11D ,then we will know that everything is nothing but a hologram surrounding a black hole, true quantum theory physics.

It uses half the wall between the house and Garage and the outside of the Exterior walls to be exact

Nice one Yusuf

Thanks Scott I think the b&w loses all the grayscale so you end up with b&w everything. Depending on how dark your color is it will either disappear or be black. I always have that grayscale box checked. The only thing you can't show is when you print the color pdf as grayscale on your printer, it would also be grayscale , So In my view, you and Joey would end up with the same thing when printer on paper.

here is a way

I think BIM could be nice for those of you who spec everything in a project. I personally Don't spec much on my projects b/c most of my clients just haven't decided yet, except for some major items. I try to keep my projects as generic as possible for that reason and budget reasons. BIM wouldn't help me much but could help others a lot.

I think both ways end up the same, he just prints pdf's in color, then prints to paper in grayscale
-
Scott I understand what you are saying, one thing about your way is that you can see what the grayscale looks like before you print it, and can easily adjust the color that views the best. I just hit the color on , color off icon to see that.
-
You can do it either way, Sometimes my clients like to send the pdf to their clients so they like color. It ends up the same weither you print a pdf in grayscale from Chief or print pdf in color and print it in grayscale. its all about what color you choose for each item.
-
I also add a few cad lines to my template plan so they are already there. My elevations are already on the layout when starting a new plan so done once never do again method. Only adjustments needed.

I think that checkbox for color off to grayscale or b&w is only what you see on your monitor- not printing. I do print in color to pdf then when printing set your printer to print in grayscale. you do have to watch what color you have though b/c light colors will not print well.

Gooday Mate. What's on the barbe. I,m not sure but I think you and Joey are saying the same thing

yes, p-lines with labels, that could be used for a lot of things.
-
Could be, but I can live with it.

Close enough for me and my clients and building departments. Never had a problem with it.
-
Rod That would save me a lot of time

Thanks for the info. Haven't thought of that one.

Also if you use icons, just select all the lights and hit the little" off" icon in the edit toolbar.

without the plan ,it's hard to say but all I know is "it's all about lighting". I would place some light sources in that scene. Also see what you have your lights set to. What I do is turn off all my lights in the plan and just use light sources, a little easier and feaster to do.
