  1. If you have PBR working good, why would you want to do a ray trace?
  2. After watching that video I am going to try PBR once again... this time with the backdrop turned off. wish me good luck
  3. Yes, I saw that earlier today and changed to 100 lights and the sun to 500 this morning. I just used your settings with a new camera view and got good results after I turned the sun off. I am going with your settings. Thank you! With the sun on everything had a green tint to it.
  4. I experienced this with my siding materials this morning when I uploaded X10.
  5. When I change the settings, the view comes in dark for a split second and then quickly goes to bright.???
  6. Even with the sun turned off, the view is basically the same...
  7. I was enjoying working in PBR in the beta... never had an issue. However, I downloaded the final upgrade this morning from my digital locker and now all I get is white out blizzard conditions when I use the PBR. I uploaded the latest driver for my video card as was suggested by tech support and tried all the different combinations of setting but still NO GO. Strange thing is the PBR was working fine this morning before the final upload???
  8. Are you saying that there are people who use CA that aren’t Prime members of chieftutor? Why that’s just plain silly...
  9. Is there something in the library under fireplace that will work for you?
  10. Email me what you have and let me see what I can do for you. parkwesthomes@hotmail.com atten: David
  11. There was a roll up garage door shared on here...
  12. Thanks for the link, Richard. I will be taking a good look at those.
  13. Thanks Glenn! I think I understand how and where the pinch points are. Reminded me of the round doors we put on a tunnel years ago where we had the full perimeter beveled except the flat floor part so we had no binding.
  14. Good one... as soon as I read "angled door" I could see the pinch point. Thanks, javatom Books are very heavy... I still like the idea of sliding bookshelves... just wondering how to cover the rollers on the bottom without having to step over the baseboard???
  15. I have a hard time visualizing why the top of the doors would need to be beveled, Glenn. I concur with the sliding bookshelves being a better solution, imho.
  16. Thanks Mark. Now that I have mastered the fine art of ray tracing I guess it's time for me to expand my knowledge base and move into designing custom cabinetry.
  17. Does something like these pull out pantry drawers exist anywhere in our libraries?
  18. If you have a 6 inch thick door you will need to bevel the edges where the two doors meet to be able to open the door... maybe attach a molding to one door along that edge to cover the gap?
  19. I don't know how much time my space navigator mouse has saved me... but I would not want to work on CAD projects without it. A mouse in each hand is the only way to go...
  20. Do you have dimension opening locate object set to side?
  21. Just curious glenn... do you have a lot of guys down under named Jennifer?
  22. You might want to google functional obsolescence before you get to far along with your floor plans. Just trying to save you some unnecessary work. You might have a hard time getting financing on a "different" style of house if you design a house that the lenders deem functionally obsolete. I.e. No resale value.
