  1. we can renumber, which would also re-sort as well as renumber: We can also sort but whatever other column we want to, and this is a compounding effect, similar to the way that light's menu works: Are you asking for something different?
  2. yes use this in an exteral editor. This solves any sizing issues with line weights so long as youre not driving line weight by the layout box settings
  3. send it to a different layout at 1/2"=1'0" at entirely the same sheet size and print at 1/2 scale.
  4. i have the 4090 and the 7800 XTX and the differences are pretty small when it comes to chief. see if you can find the XTX. Also, @Rich_Winsor was right. You may need other upgrades...power supply is def one of the upgrades required to run these cards
  5. This must be a new thing that I am just not on board with. Maybe an East Coast thing? The client is from Florida and they want a backlit quartzite. I think it looks so tacky personally. Lighting a stone because we can is sort of my thought there. Overexposed the shot on purpose to sell the island to the client. Client has a 30K budget and wants backlit quartzite..hahaha i swear. its sawn oak up to a granite. I could add some roughness map onto it just to show smudges..heavy lacquer finish should have it looking pretty smooth. would need to render it in 4K for you to see the checks. The flooring has to stay..thats my biggest gripe...its an awful color IMO I think maybe it's just me getting in the way of me. This house and what the client wants screams 1990 for me. It's everything I spent my career getting away from, haha
  6. 3d Plants for Premiere includes all of these plants and its included in your SSA
  7. Diving headfirst into a new kitchen design concept and it's shaping up to be quite the challenge! Just a few hours in with my kitchen tools and already feeling the pressure. My client prefers a very muted palette, which means bringing this space to life will need a creative touch. Thinking accessories, lighting, and maybe some bold textures will be key. Rendering time's going up as I work to sell the dynamic look of a monotone palette - it's one thing in a 3D model and another in the real world. Stay tuned for how this evolves; I'm determined to make this kitchen pop in the most sophisticated way possible. Your thoughts and tips are welcome!

    PBR Chief Based Renderings

These are a collection of renderings done entirely in Chief Architect Premier
  9. you can break elevation cameras and work them around individual elements in your plan
  10. without opening your plan I am guessing that you are using a wall elevation camera, which is clipped to a room. you need to edit your active view and uncheck clip to room and then likely adjust a back clip and side clip parameters
  11. I did a seris on foundations in the VIP section of that site. what is your handle on there and I will mention you
  12. Depends on where you have your chief data stored but you can always take the User_Library.calib file and sync it up to the cloud and overwrite from one machine to the other. This is a lot of data transfering though, better to do it with an external. Put a USB thumb drive on a keychain or use a NAS
  13. This is a good reason for just using auto build, snce you would need to raise your porch rooms height in order to achieve this. So either raise your porch room 24" with your roof planes or set your railings to baloon through ceiling...Otherwise its using your default exterior wall to build from and that has a different size main layer from your railings
  14. works well, its just showing your stem wall and footer/footing on floor 0. Much easier to show floor framing views or SOG and also way easier to do a full build out without messing with layer sets etc. I do not have a video on this cept for in a paid part of my discord where I went over foundations. Surprised if there isnt one floating around somewhere on the net
  15. My foundation is on floor zero, walkout basements on floor 1...HIGHLY suggest this. You'll find that most of the power users that attend the advanced level II in Idaho do it this way for a myriad of reasons
  16. I use the working layer set. No issue with text since my foundation is on floor 0 and there is no other text that would make it onto floor 0 so why not have it on the default text laayer
  17. SPV never existed before just FYI. We never had save floor reference or remember zoom etc. Default sets were previously called Annotation Sets.
