    You could always place material regions over your walls in an elevation view at the designation you would like and then take a screen capture and paste back as a material

    If you have a set of CAD details established, it is easier to import your new defaults and saved plan views and macros into the plan that has the CAD details, instead of dropping cad details into a new template

    POST 74 I'm constantly working to improve my methods of modeling and UV mapping. This blanket is only 8K polycount and looks fantastic! You should also be able to change the texture and have it map out pretty well.     FYI to everyone here, get to know this standard for mapping. Apply the following in your materials texture, then size and orientation should line up if used properly for UV mapping For instance, this doors rail is incorrectly mapped

    Just convert your BLK file to OBJ with textures and import straight into chief, pretty easy to trace in 3d from there using a section plane cut

    I'm going to make some educated guesses here. Type is used to report value in specific ways in terms of programming. It informs other functions. So it is used in programming language. It's useful to know the type of a window or the type of a tree. Type is simply not a reported value for some symbols, as in a recessed light is a class of symbol that does not have the option to report to type. It simply isnt written in. You could write a "Type" into the OIP but some items such as ridge caps don't have that access. For those reading this, this has been an ongoing discussion with Joe. I have a personal frustration with this discussion because he does not wish to state the end goal, the "thing" he is trying to produce, which makes it really difficult to guess at what he is ultimately trying to accomplish so that we, as a group can give him some viable solutions.

    Ha, you dont have to tell me, I sell my custom toolbars with a ton of style pallets that us custom cabinet door symbols and millwork symbols to include decor etc.. Saves me a ton of time

    I was having a bit of fun and flattered truly, thank you. Some thigns that always help, macke your own casing with a slight radius to soften the ultra sharp edges on the window. The base to shower curb transition could be considered. I would consider using a material region or backsplash like @Kbird1 said. These little details add up if you want a truly great render

    Exported at 2k samples, duped the layer then threw it through topaz denoiser and brushed out the noise. made a bunch of camera raw adjustments, some exposure adjustments, painted light brushed on an exposure adjustment layer and then upscaled. It's a non-destructive stack so I can update on the fly. Had the exterior masked so I can change on the fly as well. Couldve reduced the noise more with more samples

    The devs told me last week that there is no denoiser though I swear export images are always cleaner. is it my imagination?

    Max is 200, they lifted the max in X12 and then deprecated in X14. I got it written down as a bug by 3 engineers this pat week in Idaho. For the OP, probably just a computer restart is all that’s needed. Or… you have more custom library objects on another toolbar configuration.
