Called up text support for this, someone I collaborate with has a different screen monitor and whenever he opens my plans and layouts the text gets screwed up, word wrapping occurs, text goes off of the page..very frustrating. Any bright ideas here would help. Tried cad blocking, tried un-checking auto width, no matter what the problem occurs.

Designed this using some modified Ikea dressers and hair pin legs.. thought I'd share. Will stretch appropriately and is offset from the wall per a typical dresser. download here: RABBITTS BLORANGE DRESSER.calibz

You can select your individual Roof planes and rebuild with new rafter specs within their respective dbx. instead of a auto rebuild all. If that doesn't work just post your .plan file and we will take a look

hey kbird, will you upload your version for everyone? -
Enjoy! MILGARD STYLELINE STRETCHABLE SLIDER.calibz

I cant figure out why it looks wrong in one plan, seems to work in others, thank you..ill upload a polished symbol in symbols and content now
-
i've tried, cant get the 2d to display, and the offset being built into the geometry makes the pbr pickup that sun glitch

The company I work for uses Milgard Style Line windows, so I built a stretchable slider window as close to spec as I could. Problem is that the offset of the symbol is wrong, so it shows up incorrect in plan view as well as picking up exterior sun in PBR. Seems that the entry point of the symbol is offset the opposite way from what I want. See pics. I included the window symbol as well as a symbol of the window as a fixture MILGARD WINDOW AS FIXTURE.calibz MILGARD WINDOW.calibz

Complex Macro Request, is this possible?

he should, I was looking for his paypal link last night -
RodCole pointed out some of the key questions, decide your budget, decide what needs to be illustrated and the level of detail required. Broad range of prices for renderings. Here are a few of mine:

very cool Joe!! I can't remember, can you have more than one cab schedule in a plan? -

I have no problem inputting, I'm typically using the seismic, so adjustment factors are very different from wind speed tables. I figured a bit of work would be needed for the end user -

I use forte, both contra costa county and alameda county have approved plans without the engineers stamp. I work with mkennedy2000 who has helped me get plan-sets through without an engineer stamp on many occasions. an example set prepped for red-line(missing my forte calcs and has some graphical errors in cross section): 218-09-24 BARNETT-R-0.pdf -

SECOND THAT! -
side note, the grain in the cabinets should be done with a roughness map instead of a bump or normals map

I've entered quite a few times, won it a couple of times, it provided a lot of hits to our website. Would love a more refined contest based on a panel, but that would require more than just a single rendering.

THANKS JOE, What would you charge for this? I'm considering it. The custom walltype sounds intriguing as I always use continuous wall sheathing method -
@Joe_Carrick @Alaskan_Son and others... I've been doing prescriptive measures for braced wall plans and would love to automate the process. main ingredients to be parsed: number of building stories length of walls(or length of poly line) if length of wall is greater than " " add a multiplier. see example plan

only difficult part is the logs...p-solids I would guess

Surprisingly difficult question to answer for me. I could go on for hours. Normals aren't always the best solution, bumps can be far superior at times depending on the situation. In general, I prefer Normals maps for wall materials with direct overhead lights, and bump maps for indirect light, the inverse being true for floors. But it varies scene by scene. Normals and bumps are meant to bring out recesses or protrusions in a material to give the look and feel of multiple materials. examine the material effect you are going for and make a calculated decision. often times(in the case of countertops) I use a completely different file as the basis of my roughness maps...remembering that chief doesn't have modifiers for scale. Whatever the scale of your primary texture in reference to the image files resolution will be the ratio for scale of your other maps Here's a good example of a floor map with some additional options in final look: diffuse map: bump map: roughness maps: normals maps:
