2D Symbols for Demo. plan

I'm new to Chief, I'm using X8

 

I'm working on my first addition/remodel project using Chief. I have been trying to find 2D symbols for bathroom and kitchen fixtures that I can show as dashed lines that will represent the fixtures

being removed. I've looked everywhere I can think of and have not found any 2D symbols of bathroom or kitchen fixtures. Is there a way to convert a 3D symbol into a 2D symbol that will only show

up in a plan view and not in a perspective view?

In your plan view, CAD---> Cad Detail From View. Then clean them up and save them as needed in the library.

place object in plan -anywhere-CAD, CAD block management, find the CAD block and select insert. Unblock, open, change line stile to dashed, reblock.

I usually just put these fixtures on a demo layer with a dashed line, and turn off the layer in a perspective view. No separate 2D symbol required.

 Stop it  Richard,  just stop it,  you are making things too easy.  ......  But wait...  suppose you have a wall mounted light fixture hanging on a wall that is being demo'd....  that wall mounted light fixture might seek out the closest wall... therefore being incorrect......  maybe  I am  over thinking things.
