Can Chief import Excel files?

Recommended Posts

That is the question, I can't find anywhere that it does.

As a picture, I think you can select the exel tables and paste it simply. That is all me knows about this case. OK if you are working on terrain? Yesss, there is a way.

You can copy and paste cells as text, cell borders will show in rich text. In both cases all spreadsheet function is lost.

Mark thanks, I didn't know that. But please make it some more clearer regarding how to.

Open spreadsheet-

set the cell borders you want to show,

select the cells you want,

copy.

In Chief click rich text icon,

click on plan,

when dbx opens just paste.

Another thing you can do if you just want access to an external file or web page is add a HyperLink to a Text Box.  That file can then be accessed by clicking on the text box and then clicking on the hyperlink icon on the Edit Toolbar.

Using this post for the opportunity to repeat the feature request to have functional spreadsheet capabilities that can do basic mathematics.  Not even looking for complex functions, but simply mathematics would be great.
