ACADuser
trying to add a section symbol to a section view. I seem to remember seeing it in the catalog but can't find it again.
Joe_Carrick
Use a Text Callout with 1 Large Arrow. It won't have the arrow at the tail, but otherwise it's works. You can block it and put it in your Library, but it's easier to just set it up in the defaults.
tommy1
Yes, when you select the text parent tool, you'll see a child tool for the callout or marker.
HumbleChief
This post reminds me of how I would like to have variations on Chief's single section symbol.
ACADuser
SO YOU HAVE TO BUILD YOUR OWN ARROW AND SECTION LINE?
HumbleChief
SO YOU HAVE TO BUILD YOUR OWN ARROW AND SECTION LINE? NO. JUST USE THE CALL OUT IN THE TEXT BOX. LOOKS LIKE THIS. Yes, when you select the text parent tool, you'll see a child tool for the callout or marker.

Joe_Carrick
Alan, That is an option that Chief doesn't provide. If you really have to have that then you will have to make your own. You could add that & add to your user Library. But then after you place it you have to unblock to edit the text.

tommy1
This should not be a big deal. I do it all the time. I use a cad line with an arrow. I do it in a few seconds.
