HumbleChief
Was wondering if there's a technique I'm missing here. Thanks in advance.
Alaskan_Son
Try turning off your angle snaps when you're setting those particular dimensions.
HumbleChief
You'll see in the vid I've done just that but no change.
Alaskan_Son
Sorry Larry, I was only viewing it in a very small window and missed that. Not sure what else to say. It works for me with no problem at all. A quick video (sorry, I have no microphone setup so there's no sound)... http://screencast.com/t/uDbuR2k2
rlackore
Works for me as long as the two lines are parallel - if they are off even fractions of a degree then it won't work.
MarkMc
Larry- your method of make parallel is the trick, remember it is also make perpendicluar. Do your corner to corner dim, make parallel but pick the interior line. At least I just did it with a quick line thrown in to a wall. (sorry no vid-flintstone here)
glennw
Larry, Try turning on On Object snaps and use End to End dimension.. It looks like your snaps are toggled off. Note that Michael has On Object snaps toggled on.
HumbleChief
Turning snaps on seems to have done it. I had previously turned snaps off to solve the dim snapping to a really weird location. Thanks everyone for your help.
