PitMan71
Anyone seeing issues with leader arrows jumping into a blank space in elevation view? I noticed it mostly when you adjust the location of the text box. I have seen it randomly happen though. I have to delete the leader and add it again. Not sure what's causing this. I will try and find a picture showing what Im experiencing. robdyck
Yes. I think this is related to the 3d text feature. I have text and text notes in all my elevation views in my template plan. When I open those views and then edit a text box, the leader line jumps, almost as though it is confused about which part of it is a tail or head. For this reason I make sure all arrows never connect to anything...ok not never but usually. Similar but different...you can't trust a dimension to a roof plane to be there for you later on. It seems that sooner or later, Chief rebuilds the roof and some dimensions disappear...and it's not like you get a tap on the shoulder that says, um, er, I threw out some important information, were you still using that? Oh wait, how about a warning that shows you exactly what Chief has deleted through an auto-rebuild function...or whatever it is that causes that to happen? PitMan71
Agreed. Just today I had elevation dimensions come up missing and had to redo.... Turned into a 20 minute distraction. Turns out I caused it and I didn't know. smh. Knowing that dimensions or notes were affected by what I did would have been a nice "tap on the shoulder". robdyck
And what's up with the constant re-appearance of point markers in a CAD detail?!

PitMan71
I have more detail on my leader issue. This seems to only affect curved leaders. When you apply a curved leader on an object or not, if no nudge or move the annotation the once attached end of the leader to the annotation blasts into outer space. The arrow stays put. Very annoying since I use curved leaders all the time. AND I am using the diamond grips on the notes to create the leader. I establish the arrow as a line and then holding control key create the curve and place the arrow where I want it. So far this seems to only be happening on elevations and cross section views. Steve-C
I recently started using X17 regularly and noticed this off the bat, text leaders all over the place in elevations. Hope it's resolved soon, very annoying. Edited Thursday at 06:19 AM by Steve-C

PitMan71
From Chief Support: Hi Shane, Thank you for contacting Chief Architect Technical Support. This has been logged with the developers as a bug. Based on our testing, it only seems to apply to leaders that were curved using either the Ctrl or Right-Click function. I've been unable to reproduce if you instead select the leader line and use the "Change Selected Line to Arc" tool. This is a workaround for the meantime. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -Brock Zeller
