Rookie65
I had some confusion with clients when I first started. What I do now is specify the label as %width%x%height%", and it will put the (") symbol in the description. Or you can put RO before it if you want it to read that way so it comes out as RO 60" x 48". I also put the style window in the description..DH, CSMT, FXD, GLDG, etc. Chief just does them as a default in inches. It doesn't make it wrong. Just need to know how the program does things. Danilo, is this the same danilo that uses my templates? I just checked my systems across all versions, no such issue. Even the mulled unit shows correctly
para-CAD
6040 6/0-4/0 6-0/4-0 60”x40” crazy, huh. Rene and Alaskan Son both have macros to make that issue go away.

Rookie65
Doors and windows are typically called out in width by height as a common practice, at least from what I was taught and always seen

builtright3
Just my thoughts because I have to keep it simple and everyone on the same page to save confusion. I direct everyone to read off the WINDOW SCHEDULE. You can add all the columns there for what you need. Framer should follow RO column 60”x42” Window company should follow SIZE column 5036 Homeowner should follow INCHES column 60”x42”

Gawdzira Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM I recently had a contractor put a 5' door where the plans had called out 6068. I asked him if the door was 5'8 high also? Honestly, it is a lack of construction education in the U.S..
