Copy paste offset

When I do a copy of multiple objects, the paste handle location is in a galaxy far, far away. Does anyone else get this behavior? The image shows what I get after I hit paste.

The "move" handle is in the center of the box that contains all of the objects.  This works the same whether you are pasting a group of objects or just selecting them to move them.

 

From your picture above, it looks like it includes something that is way below the bottom.  Either you have selected something down there or the program is making the box too big for some weird reason.

There is nothing selected except for the revision cloud and callout. I get this same behavior on a lot of objects whenever there is more than one object selected.

The only way I can get something like that is to create a callout with a long cross section line that is then hidden.  Could be something like that causing your box to be really big even though you can't see it.  If you can't figure out what it is, then post your plan and I bet someone else can.

I think DB is correct , though I know for a fact Chief will select things that are not visible ie on a layer that is not displayed ( same as it will auto dimension to the same "hidden" objects)

 

does it make a difference if using Marquee Select or Control Click method or intersect / contained as the method?

Try using the all on layer set and see if any thing's there.

I don't think there is a hidden object being selected.

One corner of the "after paste" bounding box is snapping to the origin.

Looks like a bug to me.

Glenn's right, it looks like a bug having to do with pasting the revision cloud when it's in a group.
