Gawdzira
The contractor for this project (rightly so) said that he was confused by the elevations due to the building having skewed wings on each side. Not any more since I was able to fade out the skewed portion of the elevations with our new semi transparent fills. The fill on these uses a white fill with 40% transparency. joey_martin
We have been able to do this in the past by using the EDIT LAYOUT tool and select what you wanted "faded" and changing the color to gray. I use this method when doing sections and I want the building behind to "fade".
HumbleChief
Joey, Didn't that require selecting each item and changing the color in Layout View? And wouldn't those changes be lost if you updated the Layout View? Truly curious as to your work flow, and it seems the new tool adds quite a bit of ease to the process. Am I mistaken? Kiwideziner
The new tool saves a heap of time and is still live, also good to show below grade foundations.

joey_martin
It would save time...but using SHIFT SELECT makes it pretty quick to turn those gray, and I only do it when I'm ready to create the PDF, not every version.
