DesignTech
Has anybody had any success creating a roof cricket to fill in a section such as this on a prow front roof? Not an ideal design, but this what the Owner wanted. File is a little large to attach Brian Chief Architect Premier x13
VHampton
Rain water run-off from the main gable is going to cascade against the outside wall - (where the lowest portion of the roof slope terminates) That's where he wants a cricket - inside the wedge. You could copy the main roof. Rotate it. Drag the ridge down to make just a small triangular section. Manually connect the dots and place the cricket in such a manner until it's snug against both outside wall(s) and where the new valley occurs.
CharlesVolz
Place a serious roof plane sloped away from the wall to the left and then add the cricket. And a gutter. Best, Charles

You would want to hold it back at least a foot or two but you would still maintain your prow design and you would still do the lower cricket, but it would help a lot with the water runoff and you can also do a gutter. builtright3
The main thing to do is to stop as much splash and water pooling as you can.

One thing that could be simplified is you could eliminate that 90 degree rotation of the roof plane. If you just start the roof plan where you want it, like you mentioned in your video, Chief will pick up the existing roof elevation. Makes crickets / saddles really easy.
