Gable Window

Trying to place a round window in gable end. Can't center it, keeps jumping left or right

Without seeing a plan, It will be hard for anyone to give and accurate solution for a specific problem. Try turning off snaps and see if it will go where you want.

...or maybe a wall in the way? Hold ctrl key while moving?

Sounds like there's a wall in the way to me.  I always have to pull the wall back first, place the window, and then reconnect the wall.  Either that, or change the wall to Invisible, move the window, and then change the wall back to a normal wall.

***Windows can not be in two walls (or cross two floor levels I think) , so if either of these conditions are present it would cause this.... Ie the Gable wall is actually two walls not one continuous one due to a Wall break.
