Electrical Connections

Recommended Posts

Working on an electrical plan and find the wire connections difficult to organize.  The wire ends pop in not centered or on the fixture symbol.  I find myself spending a lot of time moving the wires to make them make sense on the drawings for the electrician.  Does anyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Tom

If you do a search on the forum using the phrase "electrical connections" (using the quotation marks), you can find out, and also get some suggestions.

I did a search on "electrical connections" and nothing came up except my post?

Brushpark,

You need to search the forum, not "This topic". You can see what you are searching just to the left of the search field. If you use quotation marks, you get the search for the phrase; without the quotes you get everything with electrical OR connections, which is too much.

Yes for now and in X9, but lets keep pushing for improvement.  It is long overdue in this department.

Let's put some time frame to this comment, while not great, the arcs worked better with version 9.5 than they do now.  I've been waiting in consternation for 15 years for any improvement.

I'm an electrical contractor and use CA specifically for electrical drawings.

I've been asking for better control and more layers since '97.  Very little has changed since then.
