stager386
Hi All: So I've asked this before but I don't know if it's perhaps been resolved. I do many variations of a project and like to show the variations in the exact same view to the client. It seems reasonable that I should be able to save a camera view and use it in another plan. But that's not an option as far as I can tell. I know the work-arounds. But they're time consuming. Am I missing something or is there no way to save a camera view in one plan and use it in another? DRAWZILLA
Right now you cannot save a camera view, and copy it, or send it to another plan ,and if you try to copy your template plan the camera views do not come with it.
Kenoeightspot
Save your camera view in your plan. Lock the camera in plan so you do not move it in any of your schemes. Do not rotate or change the view. Name this plan scheme 1. Save as scheme2, make your changes, save. Save as scheme3, make your changes, save Etc. Send plan and camera views to the same layout. All of you cameras will be the same angle and distance. s1-Layout.pdf

If you have the camera "saved" in the original plan and do a "save-as" under a different name, the camera will be there in the same place. Locking it is fine if you want to be safe but not really necessary. Also as mentioned, you can not select a camera and copy it from one plan to another. Gawdzira
The other method is to draw a cad line to match the camera location and the view direction. Copy and paste that across plans. It is a really weak point of the program.
