  1. I would have to say this is pretty basic stuff. Thanks for sharing..
  2. That actually doesn't really solve the underlying issue. But it's a quick fix for aesthetic purposes. I'd look into it a little more, but I have to run off to a cook out. Maybe someone else can take a look. Good Luck!
  3. This may not be the correct way of doing it, but at least it gets rid of that wall issue. http://www.screencast.com/t/S8Y5XL1mL Test corner foyer (2).zip
  4. Chopsaw, AMAZING! Thanks you for taking a look. You have a great weekend as well!
  5. For some odd reason the video link didn't do what I wanted it to do. Here is the link to the video. http://www.screencast.com/t/qw5xpCsGG62
  6. I apologize in advance for the video. I sound whiny and nasally (not to mention like a girl), and I'm not very good at making videos. Attached is the example plan I'm working with. http://www.screencast.com/t/qw5xpCsGG62 BASEMENT WALL ISSUE.plan
  7. jmyers, where in Indiana are you located?
  8. I learned priceless knowledge by shadowing a builder. I'm not talking about the owner of the company who sits in an office and makes site visits. I'm talking about the owner of the company that builds the house along with his sons and subs with his bare hands. The framing knowledge alone was a great experience! Just my 2 cents

  10. Try this link and watch these two videos. Not sure if this is the direction you are heading in, and I'm also not sure if you need SSA to watch these videos. https://video.chiefarchitect.com/?search=knee+wall
  11. Michael, I will look into that. Thank you! Hope all is well!
  12. Thank you both for taking the time to answer my question. I create all my labels manually. I watched a video on Macros and thought I'd give it a try. It doesn't bother me to create the labels manually because I've been doing it for years. I figured it could save me a step. Lol Thanks again!
  13. I've never used the macros before and thought I'd give it a try. I went to the "Text" tool and clicked on "Rich Text" after the specification box opened, I typed in "Study" and then inserted a macro under that by clicking "macro>global>room info>room dimension" it gives me the dimensions from drywall to drywall. Not stud to stud which is how I normally do it. Is there a way to have is give me the dimensions from stud to stud rather than drywall to drywall?
  14. Although David's comment wasn't as helpful to this post, I would try Johnathon's approach. Good Luck!
  15. Are you trying to do something like this? (See attached pic) Like what's above the front door and garage?
  16. Not sure if Joey Martin chimed in yet, or if he is offering training sessions at this time, but he does a very good job. He knows his stuff. Look for him and send him a message.
  17. Jwatson, this isn't the area you post such a question in. Try the "Seeking Services" or "Local User's Group" Section of this forum, rather than hijacking someone else's post.
  18. Holy sh*t dude, what kind of computer equipment are you buying? Lol. $2,600.00 for Computer $300.00 For a good small printer. $50.00 for a mouse $250.00 for comfortable computer chair, and $2,695.00 For Chief. You're looking around 6g. Like Scott said. I mean later on in my business I ordered business cards ($50.00) and an Ipad Pro to show plans to clients in 3D don't remember the cost on that. above 1g.
  19. Chief 16 beat me to it. Lol
  20. Take a look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPk-l0YCqIc
  21. Try this. You may have to have SSA to view these, not quite sure. Never NOT had it. https://video.chiefarchitect.com/?search=backdrop
  22. I'm pretty sure you can, if you look well enough, you might find a chief architect video on how to go about it.
  23. Off topic question, Are these doors found in chief's library? I've been looking for the half door with divided lights and haven't found anything on 3D warehouse that I liked, or in chief. These are awesome.
