Hey guys, I just sent out invites for the 4:00 Minion Meeting. If you did not get an invite, email me at dscotthall@mac.com. I want to start at 4:00 pm pst sharp because I have been invited to the birthday party of a 2 year old birthday that starts at 6:00 pm and I would hate to miss that.

This is very interesting. I am not sure if you are on X8, but with x8 you can associate the height of certain items with the terrain or the floor,the finished floor, the ceiling, the roof, the absolute height or the total height of Dermot's hairline. When it comes to blocked moldings, what height do you want it tied to? You might want to pass that request on to CA. I wish I could associate the height of moldings to something other than absolute. If an item is associated with the terrain, and you delete the terrain, I assume you might have problems. But then when you rebuild terrain, I assume all should be well with your blocked moldings. This is an example of a very subtle nuance that no matter how CA sets it up, someone will be disappointed.

I think you build one truss and then multiple copy. Suppose you built the first truss, do a back clip cross section, edit truss in elevation to eliminate the eave and then multiple copy.

isn't the soffit height defined by the sub fascia?

Oh Boy, with X8 you can put the roof sheathing as either part of the roof structure or the surface structure. Depending on whether you put the sheathing as part of the roof structure or surface structure could effect what you just said. I know, TMI.

Hey guys, I have not heard from Glenn, maybe we can do it tomorrow if I hear from him. I need to go to the gym now to work off some of my fat. I will keep you posted. Yes, use the joist direction arrow, change spacing in arrow, divide different spaces with BEARING WALLS .

I ain't the sharpest pencil in the box, I just figured out that I have not heard from Glenn because it is 5:00 am in the morning in OZ. He has been sleeping the past 6 hours. We can address the last few posts at the meeting (if it happens).

Wow, I thought it was just the opposite. Build the bay manually and the world is your oyster..... except for a few minor limitations..... but better that than auto bays......
