KITCHEN - PLACING OVEN INTO CABINET (PROBLEM)dshall replied to interiorarch's topic in General Q & A Unfortunately if it is free, the help is not always appreciated. I always appreciate the time many of the pros give for free... including the help Michael passes out, he is a true asset to the forum.

Very frustrating..... I should be able to have a cabinet go through a doorway. Two pics, one showing it does not work, the other pic showing it will work..... to make it work,. cut out offending wall, and then paste back in original position.....

	I concur.

I agree, if this was possible, I would use the wall hatch tool.

I wonder why I still can't efficiently build a mono slab adj. to stem wallsdshall replied to dshall's topic in General Q & A I did my rain dance and now it almost works.

I wonder why I still can't efficiently build a mono slab adj. to stem walls. This is a mystery to me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have been to UGM's before and brought this up. I will bring it up again with the engineers and maybe this time they will listen. It is so stupid that something so common and basic cannot be done without some trickery. You guys that build the mono slabs adjacent to raised wood floors know what I am talking about.

	This is a good idea.

I have never used it, maybe I am misssing something.

Michael got 6 rep points for that vid.... I wonder what the record is..... I have never seen 6 rep points... well deserved..... I have used that method to take a round column and convert to one half column (plan view)....... but as always, I learn a few nuggets whenever I watch one of Michael's vids.

If you are moving walls I say no. If all walls are static then yes. If you are moving walls, do a SAVE AS and do option 2.

Looking for a TILE material with a STAGGERED patterndshall replied to dshall's topic in General Q & A Thanks Ross

Please see pic, Looking for a TILE material with a STAGGERED pattern Does anybody have something like this?

I do not fight it, I leave the extra lines in, I have a feeling the guys forming up the foundation ignores the extra lines. But I get it, it is not necessarily correct graphically and should/could be fixed.

Kind of frustrating but the countertop will not go through the HALF WALL. That is why Joe suggested using custom countertops.

Yes, a nuisance. Putting in electrical connections shoiuld be a 3 click process.... beginning, end and then in the middle TO CONTROL AMPLITUDE. Thanks for bringing this up again.
-
I am still seeing electrical connections disconnecting.... or user error...... not sure..... can't quite put my finger on it......

Curb-on-slab method and requesting alternatesdshall replied to Renerabbitt's topic in General Q & A but then you might have to fix the plates.... (too many plates unless you make two new wall types, one with only a sill and no top plate and the other with top plates but no sill.....

Curb-on-slab method and requesting alternatesdshall replied to Renerabbitt's topic in General Q & A Oops, yes you can get drywall down.... it's your curb idea (wall type is curb with drywall on it)...... not sure if you can use curb and use brick sill.... I did not check.........

Curb-on-slab method and requesting alternatesdshall replied to Renerabbitt's topic in General Q & A See if this helps. RRABBIT 1.plan

I would be interested in seeing a plan with that issue. I am not sure if I have seen that before. See pic, I put hole in floor using rails and open to below and I did not lose the ceiling finish.
