  1. Thanks guys for the help and thank you Mark for the adjustment. So weird, they wanted me to be able to import some of the lines into my drawing. It was probably done by accident. Thanks again, all is well now.
  2. Would somebody please do me a favor and import ACAD file and see if it is to scale. When I import, it does not come in a proper scale. Thanks, harris 2018 0523 bluff setback11-10035-p3.dwg
  3. Yes, I would like that option.
  4. Hi Michael, I never knew this. I gave this a try but could not quite make it work. Would you mind posting a plan with the "rebate" working or fix my plan. Thanks, I am looking forward to learning something new. bbb rebate plan 1.plan
  5. FYI, that brick "rebate" line was not always there. It appeared in the last couple of versions. Point is, I do not think that is a line that you can select/dimension to. I think a note about the rebate width or a cad line that can be dimensioned to are your options, unless you want to take Michael Gia's suggestion.
  6. Hey P, I need to call you soon to see your method. Maybe it is easier than the one I use.
  7. I am on MAC too. Lost tool bars happen to me also.... but not so often...
  8. Here is a link to a vid showing a method to put together area analysis tables using ref sets. The area analysis macros was provided by The Alaskan Son...... I don't know what I would do without his macros. warning, this is a long video, and probably boring, but there might be a few nuggets for some folks. BTW, I did not get into all of the mechanics (i.e. the macros), I was concentrating more on the concept of putting this stuff together.
  9. Yes, I would host the online seminar. We just need someone who has some good infos to share. Any volunteers? It does not pay well, the hours are bad, and you have to put up with the host, other than that, not a bad gig.
  10. I agree, I haven’t tried using them in years. Too much trouble.
  11. Hi Mo, Thank you for the memories. I can’t tell you how huge this was for me back then. I now take it for granted. The MRLS is used in all my plans as I am sure it is used in most power users plans. Now I would like to see the MMRLS.... The Multiple Multiple Reference Layer System. Which means that we can reference MULTIPLE LEVELS via MULTIPLE REF SETS...... Instead of only one level that we are limited to now. Not as huge as the MRLS, but it would be useful for structures over two levels tall. WOW, that was so long ago........ maybe 2010?
  12. Here is another option to deal with the edge at the half wall without using the box. You will alway see the edge of floor finish under the rail unless you take Eric's or dChop's suggestion. Plan Maison v2018 -X10 - 017 - vers work 66fpihi.plan
  13. There you go, that is what I thought it would be. Again, I am going off the picture and I swear, I have 1 pair of glasses and two types of contact lenses to choose from and I still can’t see too well. But if I choose the correct contact lens set, I can see my golf ball travel more than 175 yards.
  14. After looking at picture closer, I remember seeing this Anamoly a long time ago. I forgot the actual circumstance but maybe Chop’s is the solution I did not know of back then.
  15. Im not at office to check. The wall type is correct but I have a feeling that is not the wall type he is using. Did you check it yet?
  16. I disagree with this answer also. If this was the case..... what defines the material at the edge? It is defined by the wall type finish. I wonder what wall type he is using. If this is the answer, I would be learning something new. I wish he would post the plan.
  17. I have never needed to do this. Post the plan and Eric will probably give you a much better answer.
  18. I just found the CAATO time tracking software. It looks very easy to use and a great way to keep track of the time it takes to carry out my tasks during the day. Has anybody used this or do you have a favorite time tracking software. I know CA has one, but I bounce around so much during the day, I need something a bit more robust.
  19. The tab is acting up when I grab a side of a poly line, I start to resize by dragging a side, hit the tab key, the dimension dialog box opens and then the number I may put in does not work.
  20. Please pardon the ignorance, I am always confused as to import at inch or feet. Is there a way to identify which units to use for importation ?
  21. When you import, before you actually import, do you identify all stuff on the maj an$ min contours as contours? i: going off memory in r3gards to termin9logy.
  22. I gave your plan a go and I could not get it to work. In fact, when I imported I found nothing.
