  1. I messed around with it for about 15 minutes and couldn't find anything either. Very strange. Not sure why you want to get rid of the shed, but if you want to avoid redrawing the plan, another option would be to change the shed walls to invisible walls or put them on their own layer and turn them off.
  2. Sorry, not an answer to your question, but in downloading your plan I realized something...Since when have we been allowed to attach a .PLAN file!!?
  3. Attach the plan along with a camera set up where you want it and maybe someone will help you out.
  4. Eagles?? Chargers?? Cowboys??
  5. I think you might need to clarify a bit. Not sure if you're asking a question with regard to the software or with regard to general construction practices.
  6. Steve, I give you mad props for attaching the plan... You have to CLOSE THE PLAN before you zip it though or it won't work. Your file has no information in it.
  7. Thanks Scott, I think I may have been a little too subtle. Anything you can do to help shed light on the issue is greatly appreciated (at least by me).
  8. I think perhaps you might be right. It was a nice sunny summer, but its been pretty constantly below freezing for the last week or so and we're losing around 5 min. 40 seconds of daylight everyday right now.
  9. I didn't even know Chief had the ability to display shadows in plan view. How have I missed that for so long?
  10. Is this a trick question? Are you just trying to start trouble? : ) I suppose a plan may or may not help in this situation, however it most certainly could not hurt. I'm actually not sure where I would start to troubleshoot that one. In that instance some screenshots might be a little more helpful.
  11. There's really not much more to say... post the plan Its become somewhat of a pet peeve to me over the years. 9 out of 10 times we ask someone to post the plan, they ignore it. For those of you that do, if you're not sure how to post the plan, just ask. Its easy... -Save the plan -Close the plan -Zip the plan (right click>send to compressed folder) -Attach the plan to your post using "more reply options">Browse>Attach This File If the plan file is too big, save as a different name and then delete whatever isn't necessary from the plan and try the above steps one more time...OR use Dropbox When you post the plan, you will almost always get an accurate answer in very short order and save a lot of people a lot of guesses. Plus, when you ignore requests to post the plan its almost a little insulting. You're asking us to donate our time to help you, but you're not willing to play your part (at least that's how it can seem at times). After doing this for long enough, I think there are some who will simply stop helping. Please, if someone asks for it, post the plan, and if you know it will help, post it before being asked. Thanks.
  12. You're welcome:) I'm a side note, not sure I mentioned it before, but you will almost always get a near immediate and accurate answer if you learn to post the plan.
  13. You know...I must note that someone would have likely figured that out for you days ago had you POSTED THE PLAN. and if you don't know how, just ask.
  14. 5/8" drywall + 7/8" flooring = 1-1/2". Check the room structure dbx more carefully or... POST THE PLAN
  15. No problem. Glad you figured it out
  16. Or, perhaps...3D>Camera View Options>Toggle Textures
  17. Perhaps you accidentally toggled your colors off. See attached...
  18. Are you talking about Standard 3-D previews or ray traces? Two entirely different animals.
  19. Now that I think about it a little more I think one option adds the door PANEL to the library and the other adds the entire doorway (panel, casing, lintel, sill, hardware, etc.)
  20. I actually don't remember. I'm not in front of my computer right now but if I remember correctly it gives you the option of door or doorway. Whatever it was, one worked for what I was doing the other didn't.
