Have you tried using the "align with floor below" tool for the the wall on the 2nd floor? If this doesn't show or doesn't fix the problem, you should post the plan.

Have you tried changing the "schedule number start"? It's under "labels" when you open the schedule.

Don't forget that the delete objects tool will let you choose "single room" and then you can just click inside any room to only delete stuff for that room instead of the whole plan. You can only do this while the dialog is still open so it works a bit different then most of the other dialogs.

You could make a custom door symbol that has the lock built in. Just place the door you want in a blank plan, Then place the lock you want and position it where you want. Now convert the whole thing into a new cabinet door symbol.

Can you see them in plan view? If you can't see them, then maybe the layer is turned off or you are using a bad line style or color. If you can see them, then maybe the layer is locked. The other problem I have run into is that I sometimes have to zoom in and click exactly in the center instead of just clicking on anything else you can see. Another way of getting rid of them is using the "delete objects" tool. This will let you delete all of them at once, or just for a single floor, or just for any room you want. If none of this helps, then you might need to post the plan.

I think all you need to do is go to the floor below and delete it using the "delete current floor" tool.

Sloped how? Your fascia will be sloped on a gable end and you can also set your eaves to be "square cut" instead of "plumb cut" but I am guessing that you want something else. Maybe post a picture of what you are trying to do?

If you change the display in one view and another view changes than that almost always means that they are using the same "saved plan view" or same "layer set". You could try this: - Select one room. - Use the "expand room polyline tool". - Use the "make room polyline tool". - Use the "convert polyline" tool. - Make it a "material region". It should have a continuous material/pattern. You can adjust the material properties if you want to change the angle or offsets.

If something doesn't change color when the layer color is changed, then it either means it is not using the layer you think it is, or you are not using the layer set you think you are, or the object is set to not use the layer color ("by layer" is unchecked). For the first two, the ALDO will show you the layer settings for the current layer set. For the last, just looking at the line style page will tell you. There are other more obscure cases I have seen but they are much less likely.

Usually solid railings won't do that. Would help to post the plan so someone could poke around in it.

You can "zip" it which will make a compressed archive file that is much smaller. You can do a save as and delete all of the stuff that doesn't have anything to do with the problem. Sometimes you even get lucky when you are deleting things because the problem actually goes away giving you a big clue what is causing it. Or, you can post it on the cloud (like dropbox or google drive) and then include a link to it. As for the phantom object, it might be a fascia like Mick suggested. If you select the camera in plan view, it will usually show you where the cutting plane is and this can help you tell if it is going through an object you didn't expect. Turning on all layers in plan view can help with problems like this. Sometimes you have to look at other floors as well because you can have objects with wrong heights that can show up unexpected places in camera views.

My guess is it is something else in your plan that has nothing to do with your cabinets. Can you see it in any other camera views? Can you click on it? I bet if you posted your plan someone could find it pretty quick.

I agree with Chop, sounds like the selection fill color was changed in preferences. You will get the room highlight automatically if you are in a mode like the fill style painter, layer painter, or one of the eyedroppers.

Not that I have found. Maybe @MarkMc knows a way to do it? He always seems to figure out clever ways to hack cabinets to do what he wants.

Works ok for me with a simple test plan. I just dropped a doorway in and removed the casing and jamb. You might need to post your plan so someone can poke around in it.

You can use "reset message boxes" in preferences and it should bring it back. It will also bring back all of your other suppressed messages though.

Why not just use the ramp tool?

Schedules will group things based on the info shown in the schedule. So my guess is that the info on the row for your drawer base matches the info for your regular base cabinet. You need to add a column or some other info that makes the rows different, such as the standard label.

You could let the program build the second floor for all 3 and then just marquee select the second floor walls for the other 2 and delete them. Should be much easier than manually drawing and aligning the walls for just the one. If you want to copy/paste a building from a different plan, you can use the "edit area all floors" tool instead of just selecting objects from one floor and copying them. If you used export DXF and the scaling was off when you imported it, then you must have messed up something. Normally, the export and import of either 2D or 3D DXF defaults to the same scale it was drawn in and this shouldn't be a problem. Another way of handling a subdivision is to have 3 separate plans with each of the individual buildings and then have one master plan that uses the reference display tools to display the m altogether. A good way to solve these kinds of problems is to use the ALDO or the "object layer properties". If you have the ALDO open and you select an object it will show you the layers being used and all of their settings for the current view. If you click on the "object layer properties" in the edit toolbar, it will do the same thing.
