  1. Can anyone tell me how to remove the base boards on the shower walls only and not the rest of the room? The inside is easy because its the whole room but what about the outside?
  2. Thank You Glenn, I wonder if their way of thinking was that without the 4" thick floor that it would be figured from grade level? There may be a purpose for doing it that way that may affect another part of the program. As long as I understand it and it works that's all that matters at this time. I have a lot better understanding of foundations now though.
  3. Are You Serious! Really! Are we over thinking here? Do you have nothing better to do? I mean, what brought all this up? is there a valid point that you are trying to make?
  4. Uncheck the show lower floor in the camera defaults.
  5. I think I may have confused this post by the name. I should have titled it "Girder piers with post" instead of "Grade beams on piers". My Bad, Sorry guy's
  6. What I sent on the picture is what I wanted to do. Got it figured out. Thank you and I look forward to our next goto meeting.
  7. I think I'm more confused now. Your welcome to do a video for me to explain it.

  10. Let me tell you what I am trying to do; I want to edit the default settings for the post with footing tool under the general framing tools. I edited one of them manually in the section and that is in the attached picture with the circle around it. But I cant seem to get what I want as a default when I place them under the girder beam. HELP!
  11. I don't know how this maximum separation is used. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Also it wont let me change the depth.
  12. One nail wont work you need to use two nails.
  13. Thanks Scott I will take the red mark, green mark, yellow mark..... as long as I get some sort of attention here so I don't feel left out. As for this discussion for some reason I don't have any problems with linking and un-linking and cleaning up the files to make template out of them. My problem is I can't really tell you how I do it I just do it. I seem to make thinks work some how. Everyone on the forum has helped me so much that I am very pleased with my new automatic & live plan setup. Very efficient! Maybe I will have to do a video on it soon and share what I have learned with the rest of the world. Its still a drop in the bucket of what can be done with CA but its much better. You brainy-acks are still way over my head.
  14. Isn't that what this "Referenced Plan File" dbx is for? To see what the layout file is connected to?
  15. Here is the direct link you need http://www.chiefarch...is-Rotated.html
  16. Much better. After I watched the video and whent back to read the info you gave in your post it all made sense at that point thank you. I think I may design a haunted house for Halloween now. Boo!!!

  20. I'm moving through the interior of the house using the mouse-dolly camera. It appears that you are doing something totally different. I reduced my frame rate to one because it was going thru the house to fast. I guess I need to figure out the terminology also. I need lesson 101.
  21. That happened to me before and I had to delete the roof and rebuild it and it was fine after but I'm not sure what caused it. Hopefully someone will post that knows how this happens.
  22. Do you know what the compression is? Not sure what that is used for?
  23. I just started using the walk through tool today. When I play it back it plays to fast. Anyway to slow it down? Also are there any good video anyone can suggest to learn how to do good walkthrough presentations?
