  1. Not sure what is causing the terrain to be pulled down in this corner. I tried the "Break Line" tool and it doesn't seem to matter. Plan is attatched Open Patio Plan2.zip
  2. Yes, Thanks Glenn! I tried to figure it out and didn't see problem either.
  3. It only shows that line after you block them
  4. My mistake I was in the right place I was just over looking them. No Im having trouble finding so decent patio furniture. I want big chars and sofa's with cushions but Im finding stuff just within any the furniture library. Its just painstaking finding the right stuff to go with what Im trying to create.
  5. Mick, I'm and SSA user, How come I cant find this in my library? I don't even have a category named "Detail"
  6. Wow! Thank You! Didn't expect that but it sure helps a lot!
  7. Wow! That is a huge step up for me to start with! Thank You!
  8. I haven't drawn a built in bar-b-que like this yet. Is there any library content anywhere for this or do I need to build from scratch? If I do build it, is it best to use the cabinet tools? Looking for possible help video's and/or help content Any information to get me started would be much appreciated. Not trying to get out of doing the work, just need a little boost! Thank You in advance!
  9. Yes I agree, This T@G was actually created with a roof plane. I have been experimenting and your right it is a very powerful tool.
  10. The T@G bottom layer can be added (as per my past post) to cover the eaves and you can use the soffit to do the inside T&G because most of the time we don't have hips to worry about on the inside. I think that will work nicely.
  11. I think maybe the ceiling plane idea would be a good solution on the inside because a cavity will need to be created for insulation anyway. Just a thought, haven't tried it.
  12. My problem is solved!!! This will work great for me. I can sleep now!
  13. Yea it burst my bubble! Thought I was on to something good.
  14. Problem is on the hip. The soffit cant be edited to do the angle and it sticks out.
  15. Here is another way that is actually really fast once you do it the first time. My question would be. Can we make it show up in the materials list as ship lap? And could it calculate as square foot so material could be ordered from it?
  16. Yea, now that you said that I remember doing that before. Now I just have to remember how I did it. Another way I guess I could just change all the sheeting to T&G but the material list wont be right
  17. Is their and way to show 1x6 shiplap or T&G as the starter board on the roof eaves as the roof sheeting and OSB sheeting on the rest of the roof? Disregard the red circle around the fascia board.
  18. Yes this is not very clear what you want to do. Rotate floor plan? Rotate 3d view? What are you trying to rotate specifically and to what extent?
  19. My opinion for what it is worth: I look at Chief as being the "Jack of all trades and master of none" for this specific reason that you laid out. You can get very close and generate some beautiful drawings but when it comes to the nuts and bolts of the cabinets for example I have to depend on my cabinet guy to generate the final drawing using a cabinet specific program that you can use to build the cabinets from. Its much easier to do that then to take the time with work arounds in Chief to get exactly what I want. But this is quite ok with me. With the price point of CA and what it can do is definitely worth it. This is software for a designer not a cabinet builders and it's the concept/design that I'm selling and then to be able to generate the drawings for the city for approval. At the same time I also agree that it seems as if CA misses some very basic stuff but I'm not a programmer so I don't know what it take to do what they do but I'm happy with the program over all. I take it back about the master of none statement. I think that was an unfair thing to say because for what the program is designed to do it does it very well! Worth every penny for me.
  20. This is what I love about the forum! Generosity to share your content! What a blessing!
  21. Thank you for sharing this! I haven't tried to calculate cost yet using the materials list. Good example!
  22. That was very easy once I had a little direction. Thank you!!! That's a powerful feature!
  23. I would like to add some custom walls and windows to the tool bar; For example: I know I can put them in the library but on the tool bar would be better accessible. Or am I just Crazy over thinking!
