You can only setup one default...but, if you open each roof plane you can assign and different arrow shape, color etc. Also...if you assign a different layer to the label, you can then assign and unique label style to the text. This allows you to change the text font, color and size.
-
You can change the arrow style also....filled, large, small...no fill. Doesn't matter
-
You have to have "auto roofs" turned off. Once this is done...you can open each individual roof plane and change the color of the arrow...and the size. Or...you can group select roof planes and do the same. Not a "Glitch" at all...

Turn "auto roofs" off. Then, build a 2nd floor...the roof will not move. You will need to add walls that have "room definitions" in order to create a "room". Once you have a room...if you don't need/want a ceiling...open the room and turn ceiling off. Creating a room will also create a floor system which you may not want...or maybe you will. If not, you may have to create an attic truss... Hope that helps.

@westvale - I sent you an email.

Honestly….just post your plan and someone will give you the exact method to fix these issues…which are easy to fix once you see how it’s done.

Yea...it's nice that it's at least supported by Chief...but, since Apple is maniacally in love with the ARM based processor and placing graphics support on the chip...it's going to be very slow. But still...it's nice to see Chief working hard to get us Mac users the ability to ray trace.

Is There a Way To Set Second Floor Defaults Without a Second Floor?
SNestor replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
- Why do you prefer 97"? - What length pre-cut studs are you using where you end up with a 97" ceiling height? This isn't my experience... - Is this a typical rough ceiling height where you live? Just like Perry...I always have a 2nd floor in my plans. I learned this from the great @dshall. It makes a lot of sense. If you set this up in your template you can make the ceiling height whatever you like. You can always delete the floor...but if you need it - it's there, and it's 97". -
Or…open the shed roof, lock the pitch, lower the ridge to the specific elevation…which you’d find by doing a cross section through the room.

Who needs customizable Toolbars at the expense of vanishing Toolbars?
SNestor replied to Michael_Gia's topic in General Q & A
Well…not for me. I’ve been Mac for 10 years and never had a problem with toolbars -
Is the "auto-frame" tool reliable? Well yes...if all you want is too see is the framing. Is it "smart"...absolutely not. You will almost always have to manually edit the framing if you are concerned about making sure it's structurally accurate. The software does NOT calculate "loads" or "spans"...it's just placing objects (studs, joists, headers etc) that you control the size and spacing of.

I've attached the plan file also you can examine the details. 547550830_walloven.plan

The carport ceiling height value should be the same as the shop...which it isn't. 1 - Correct the ceiling height. 96.625 for the carport ceiling. 2 - select both roof planes, open them and on the "general" tab, change the value to "trusses". 3 - Now, in the same dialogue...move to the "structure" tab, select "build roof framing". You should get roof trusses. The gable end wall above the carport is invisible because the wall on the 1st level is invisible.

help What is this little slice in my wall?
SNestor replied to ChiefUserAndrew8's topic in General Q & A
You are using an "elevation" camera which will show everything to "infinity"....I think what you are seeing is the top portion of the 1x gutter fascia. You may want to use a "back clipped" section camera...it shows things from the start of the camera to the end point you drag to. If you turn on the layer "framing, wall" in the camera view layer set (and you build wall framing) you won't see that piece because the studs in front of it will block it. see screen clip below...this is your camera with "Framing, wall" turned on the camera view layer set. -
@kmccluskey - watch the video. If this isn't the problem you will probably have to post a plan. Materials - Patterns and Textures - Watch Video
-
@PMMully - You could give each deck a unique room name...then create schedules and only include specific rooms into the schedule. This way you could create a unique framing schedule for each deck.
