  1. Ben - you need to draw the gable roof planes so that they are perpendicular to the shed style roof. In that photo I think you’re drawing the roof planes incorrectly and in the same direction as your shed roof.
  2. Hey Ben As stated in my previous post, I'm thinking that you're drawing your gable roof planes incorrectly. I've made a quick video of me editing the file you provided us. Unfortunately no sound this time around:
  3. Ben - the plan you attached doesn't have the gable roofs in it. Just the existing roof and the shed-style. Also, judging by the photo, it looks like you might have drawn the gable roof plane in the wrong direction...
  4. Alright, here's the link to the tutorial on how to achieve that roof style. My apologies in not getting this to you yesterday as promised (YouTube was down).
  5. Sure. I'll create a walk-through video for you either tonight or tomorrow
  6. Something like this? If so, it's fairly easy to do: Create your primary 9/12 pitched roof Use a cad box and convert to hole in roof/ceiling to create your opening for your new roof Manually draw your new 3/12 pitched roof Create extra nodes for the gables Draw gables Use the "Join Roof Planes" command to join gables with roof
  7. It is! I'd download the 2015 or 2016 version of the model, then just use the import function within Chief

  9. lol my bad, Larry! I'll go ahead and edit my post to include that information.
  10. Thanks Larry. I just dragged the shower seat through the window and then created the notch to match the window frame with a polyline solid in elevation view. So not a real notch, but rather the illusion of one lol
  11. Doing this out of windows, a door and a polyline solid works pretty well in my opinion:
  12. It's fairly straightforward. I'd just draw a flat roof plane, then in the roof plane properties, change the angle at peak to whatever you want it to be.
  13. I purchased Lumion not too long ago and haven't looked back. It's honestly one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. If you can afford the price tag, I wouldn't even think twice about getting it.
  14. You sure? Can’t he just ctrl-c & ctrl-v the entire house once it’s framed and finished?
  15. Never. Tell them how you typically do business and that you charge full price for the first set, and 50% for every subsequent copy. Any changes to site conditions and legal info can and will be done by you.
  16. I have no problem blocking the door and the transom, then adding the two sidelights to create one, mulled unit... Try that method and see if it works for you.
  17. Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with the software, Scott. I can totally understand your frustration especially if tech support has no answers for you . Have you received this error with previous versions as well or just in X10? Also, as TKA said, when you have a moment please attach the plan file so we can take a look
  18. Thank you! I just used the default Stucco-6 wall type for those walls. Not sure what that default thickness is set to off hand.
  19. All of your windows are placed on level 1... If you draw them on their correct levels, everything seems to work out just fine.
