The reason you're still having trouble building the attic trusses is because your ceiling height in the room dbx is greater than the peak height of your roof. Chief is looking for the ceiling so it knows where to place the ceiling chord of the attic truss, however if it's beyond the peak, it obviously can't do that. Open up the storage room dbx, change the ceiling height to 60" and then force rebuild the trusses. Attached are revisions to Shane's attachment. BILEADOU - PROPOSED- 9-23-16 mine2.plan

Wow - didn't even know this existed! Thanks

I'm not sure if this is what you're trying to achieve, but take a look at the attachment (I've also made some adjustments for clarity) Also, it seems the reason you're stairwell wasn't generating was because you had an invisible wall near the top of the stairs for some reason(?). Delete that and the railings and try rebuilding. Barn Copy - R1.plan

I have an HP T2300 - has been working flawlessly for years now.

I'm assuming you are referring to McAfee? You can just choose to not install it ... unless there's other bloatware that I'm not aware of? Adding and removing pages in Adobe is extremely simple and, like Perry said above, you can also select to reduce file size.

Which version of adobe are you using?

Did you try rebuilding the roof after you moved the invisible wall?
-
Looks like it's auto-extending the gable roof because of your porch. If you shift the invisible wall back by 2-1/2", the issue is resolved. To be honest, I'm not sure why it's doing this. Bug perhaps?

It's the polar opposite over here where I am. 99% of the homes are built with engineered roof trusses.
-
Probably not the best way, but you can achieve this with PL solids.
-
I usually charge $1.50 / sq ft. As for what that translates to at the end of the year... Depends on how many jobs you get and how good your work is.
-
As others have stated, I think PL Solid is the way to go.

Can you post your plan file?

R9 390 vs GTX 970 (or anything else under $300)
DavidJames replied to CamEngineering's topic in General Q & A
Yeah - he also noted a budget and went 50% over it. That being said, it was smart of him to do so as the 1070 is a phenomenal card for the price. -

Cam - I think going with the 1070 is the smartest thing you could have done. -
Roof won't build over great room, but all else is fine.

Post the plan file so we can take a look at it. If the file is too big, see if you can upload it to dropbox or google drive. -
R9 390 vs GTX 970 (or anything else under $300)
DavidJames replied to CamEngineering's topic in General Q & A
I would go with the R9. It's a newer card (2 years?) and it has double the memory which will definitely help in the long run. Personally speaking, I have always preferred Nvidia over Ati/AMD due to Nvidia having better driver support. However, if I had to choose between the two in your scenario, I would go with the R9. -
At the moment I think grabbing a picture is the only way to set a custom texture to something. That being said, changing the grout color won't be possible unless you edit the initial picture first.

Sima, The reason it's not showing up in the 3D view or on the teapot is because you need to change the texture material as well. Changing the pattern style only will only show up in the "technical illustration" 3D view.
