  1. In the Project Browser, right click the project for the plan you are sending, and click "Import File(s)" to import your layouts. Then, they should be available in the dropdown.
  2. That's alright, I think I understand your situation. You have shutters applied to the mulled unit itself. A workaround might be to use "Convert to Symbol" on the mulled unit - convert it to a Millwork symbol and add it to the library. Then, place it in a plan, and use 3D -> "Delete Surface" to remove everything except one of the shutters. Then, use "Convert to Symbol" again on the result. You have to use "Convert to Symbol" and not just "Add to Library" to preserve your edits, as far as I can tell.
  3. Just a guess - is the window a mulled unit? They do not have "Add to Library As" in X17. If that's not it, you can use "Export Library" on the object in your user catalog, upload it here, and I can give a more definitive answer.
  4. You can right-click the window and use Add to Library As... to add the custom shutter itself to the library.
  5. Hello, Can the installation complete if you click ignore? If not, is there some other error message?
  6. The backup doesn't physically copy these catalogs, but keeps track of which ones you had when you made it. When you restore from backup on your new machine, the Core, Bonus and Manufacturer catalogs that you had on your old machine should start downloading from our servers.

Hello, To clarify what @SHCanada2mentions, there was a problem during X17 Beta where catalogs could not be downloaded from the Library Browser. As far as I'm aware, this has been fixed for the majority of users, after they have signed out and back in again. If you're already signed in, and then browse catalogs from the Library Browser, the ones shown should be available for you to download.
  9. Hello Jim, With this option, the layout box is placed on the page so that the CAD point sits on the left side of the box, centered vertically. CAD points placed in Plan do not affect this. This is clearer when you select the layout box:
  10. That is unusual, what happens when you mouse over the edge of the window, do you get resize indicators (looks like two arrows)? You can reset your side window layout:
  11. Are you referring to the Plan Materials dialog? Your material won't show up in here until you apply it to an object in your plan.
  12. You might not have write permissions for this folder. Right click the folder -> Properties -> Security and see if your username has sufficient privileges to write.
  13. Your path is unusual, but not necessarily a problem. (Typically would be /Users/lia/Documents/Chief Architect X16 Data/, not a subfolder of it) Please contact Technical Support and provide them with /Users/lia/Documents/Chief Architect Premier X16 Data/Textures/-My Textures/Database Libraries/User_Library.calib
  14. See the Folders panel in Preferences. If you've never changed this before, it will be in your Documents (not a network drive)
  15. This could mean your User_Library.calib is corrupt. Please contact Technical Support and send them the file so we can look at it. Do you host your user library on a network drive or file sharing app?
  16. I don't think there was an ability to pause the core catalog download in previous versions. But it would be a nice improvement!
  17. Hello Sharon, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is not an intentional character, and appears to be showing where the trademark character (™) was intended. You can ignore this, and we will be looking into a fix.
  18. The catalog's ID does not match what is on our server. The catalog contents themselves may be perfectly fine, but it won't receive updates until you delete this catalog and re-download (from the 3D Library, or from within Chief). See this article: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03174/message-the-catalog-could-not-be-found-on-the-server.html
  19. You don't need to expand folders if you're using the Filter Results panel (see Glenn's image). You can toggle off the other panels (right click in an empty space) to fit more thumbnails on your screen. You can also use Ctrl + Wheel to change the zoom level.
  20. Sorry to hear you're having issues. Please contact technical support about this.
  21. Rpadge's method works. Another workaround is to place a temporary object that supports "Make Stack" in the dialog, such as a cabinet or a molding polyline. Add the moldings you would like, select them both (Ctrl + Click), and click "Make Stack". You can add that to the library and then use it for your windows and doors.
  22. You can right-click in the blank space and select the panels to show.
  23. Please do not do that. Copies or exports of items in our catalogs will not give us any relevant information. To send the catalog to tech support, you can find the file in your System Library Database Folder (on windows, this is usually C:/ProgramData/Chief Architect Premier X15/, but you can check yours by opening your Preferences and looking at General -> Folders -> "System Library Database Folder:"). The catalogs will be in either Bonus Libraries/ or Manufacturer Libraries/ and will have a (.calib) extension. Thanks, Eric
  24. Yes, the search field is still there. What are you seeing?
  25. Vacuum reduces the size of the User Catalog / Trash on disk to its minimum. It's something you'd probably want to do only occasionally, like after deleting a lot of things from your library.
