  1. Make sure the fan isn't running backwards after. light a match to test it. One mistake I made once.
  2. In x6 you can just set the foundation/ footing/ foundation walls to a dotted line now. You can also use an earth filled p-line to cover up the foundation lines if you don't want to se them at all, or I guess you can just turn them off.
  3. Actually I think it is a great video b/c this happens all the time when importing a topo.
  4. Thanks Gerry, you are the macro pro.
  5. You know, I've always wondered why we have to go to the window DBX to change a door setting.
  6. There are a lot of macro's in the program that you can't use in a text box. Sorry, not my expertise, but maybe those who can are following this thread. I know enough to be dangerous. Another way to get those numbers you want is to create a simple p-line, outline the area , then open the DBX and it will give you the area of that p-line.
  7. In the windows DBX set the min separation distance to 0 andin the doors DBX remove casings. Also hold down the control key when trying to slam them together.
  8. Chief currently only has 1 line available for labels but you can create text label using text macro's in a text block. You may have to create your own macro's for surface and overhang though. There are some people her that could do that ( Gerry) (Bill).
  9. How would gable end walls work and do they line up. Nice idea if it works. I try to play around with this idea.
  10. If I understand what you want correctly, you can use attic walls for that, or you can make that a room with a low ceiling height/ roof height. I assume those are invisible walls below. You may need to turn off auto attic walls and create your own manually, to get them to stick.
  11. Got any of those new Bathroom Oval sinks in the plan. They are not suitable for use right now until Chief fixes them. If you have 2 or 3 of those symbols in a plan it will slow you down considerably. Change to another one, and it's fine. Edit, I wasn't even close, my mind was wandering too much. The tool I use is the arrow keys to move in small areas.
  12. Another type would be board on board like 1x12 over 1x12 but could be 1x8's or 1x10"
  13. Well, usually I'm trying to match the existing siding, yes, over plywood. I have also seen them at 12", 24", 48"
  14. I seem to do a lot of batts @ 16" o.c.
  15. I feel your pain, buddy, it's brutal around here. This is what I have been able to get by with lately, but who knows how long it will last.
  16. and I ain't even go to the WOOD FLOOR OVER CONCRETE GARAGE issues...... I spent so much time on that, and I still can't quite figure it out. Scott, I usually just use a slab for those, who wants to create a crawl space and breakthrough the existing stem wall for access. You usually need a footing anyway.
  17. Chief has always said a Gaming card works better than those Quadro cards. I love my gtx780. You can spin with shadows on in real time even before X6 with fast shadows.
  18. Thank you sir, may I have another.
  19. You might try to re-install you print drivers also
  20. It printed to pdf ok for me.
  21. its the "OVAL" one in the bathroom sinks section of fixtures. They did a nice 2d block, looks very nice but the sink hole is giving everyone problems. To bad I use it all the time.
  22. When you select something that can use that tool, it shows up in the edit toolbar at the bottom of the screen, or a right click on your mouse. I use it also.
  23. Here also Joe, I have always used the box scale and never had any problems with it- ever. I just like it better and never want it changed but they should fix the scale for Tommy and others, that use it.
  24. I actually want the box scale to pick up the scale as sent to layout. No bug for me. Never use the "scale" but I also never do check plots
  25. I use the box scale and like it better, please don't change it
