  1. Might be doing it wrong? 220221-Compressed.mp4
  2. BTW this has never worked on my machine for any versions, and I have always been aware of the method from the documentation. I've never taken the time to call in about this. Right clicking does exactly the same thing as left clicking for me, no matter the preferences.
  3. Fantastic advice that I almost never use. I’ve been meaning to ask for 5 years now, I swear I used to know a way to jump to an x input after making a y input on say a CAD box. Am I dreaming that up? Did that question make sense? As in, select a side of a closer poly line, click on a temp dimension and input, and automatically go to the adjacent dimension input
  4. They came from interpolation of the data provided as well as the lack of data.
  5. Chief interpolates from the data that you have provided. So Chief, with a lack of info, can only presume that your contour lines continue in the path that you have designated. It has no way of knowing what is flat or peaked without you providing such data. A simple set of extra terrain contours would solve any issues you have.
  6. Use RIchards suggestion, alt+ctrl+c, drags the edit handle, and while dragging, hit tab, then I put your offset
  7. FYI to all, An elevation is just a special classification of a 3d ortho view with a generated cad overlayed at the fixed location of your elevation camera. So most a snappable elements are only as a snappable as they would be in a 3d Ortho. Section Lines are produced at section cuts, maybe unlock the Section Lines layer.

  9. I wrote a macro for spanning SPV's and I have a working set-roofs off plan view. Maybe that helps
  10. Might want to QC these posts, the images are coming up very very blurred, unrecognizable
  11. As for Chief, there may be another way but the only way I know of is installing, without migration, then making a copy of the templates folder, and attempt a migration. After migration, overwrite the template folder with the one that you saved. Then all you need to do is import defaults, spv's and copy over CAD details and save as template to create your user-modified template.
  12. Might be helpful to list which software versions you train in and also what levels of experience. I offer a ton of different training services but will only occasionally train a beginner level user, and often refer them to other known trainers that handle beginners. If you are someone that will train a beginner then I would like to schedule a call at some point. Nice to know if you will train offices. Also helpful to know if you train in previous versions or in the HD suite.
  13. I would strongly suggest annotating in plan, and getting in the habit of that. As you become more proficient with the software, it will become apparent. Especially when you start utilizing macros for redundant information. A great deal of automation can be introduced when annotating in Plan.
  14. Could be a very high possibility that you are opening a Migrated Residential Template I would encourage you to try again with current drivers Also encourage resetting all nvidia profiles. I have 6 machines running X-13 without a problem now.
  15. Sometimes, if you have a pdf or image underlay/overlay, and you move or it delete it, you will find that all of the leaders were actually attached to that image/pdf
  16. To the people that are having crashes, I mentioned this early on. Are you crashing using a brand new, non-migrated X-13 OOTB template? i haven’t had a single crash since changing to a new template, and it’s been months and months that I’ve been on it.
  17. Not a problem to tackle this for you and even improve on the presentation or improve your systems approach to design/drafting. Also, eric who posted above is a solid source for work.

  19. If the material class is transparent, it wont matter what color you made the material. Switch to general material with transparency. As far as NKBA, either adjust your dim defaults or adjust your shower wall designation.
  20. You could do this with 3d moldings, but, I'm very curious why it would be a problem to cross wires. Are you referring to data lines that can't be in proximity to electrical? Are you actually referring to exposed unshielded nm cable in conditioned space? This is a code violation
  21. Quite a few problems in this plan. It would take a while to go through them all, so if they are working for you I would just say carry on. I didn't run into greyed out designations in floor defaults:
