Bob-Stoebenau
Hi all, I am a newbie to CA [just moved over from 2020 a month ago] and I need to create a notch in the back of a cabinet to go around a protruding pipe chase. I've looked on Chief Talk and couldn't find anything. If someone has an idea of how to do this I would be very grateful. Even a video or something would help me along. Thank you so much! CJSpud
What are the dimensions of the cabinet that you need to create, including the notch dimensions? Single door/drawer or double?
BryceEngstrom
You might be able to do this with separate cabinets configured into one unit. Depends on the particulars.
HumbleChief
Hi Bob, Do you need the 'look' of a cabinet going around a protruding pipe chase? Or an actual cabinet with cut sheet type exacting spec's?
MarkMc
Polyline solid with a cabinet forced to embed part way or a shallow depth one married to the front. Block them. Save for reuse.
Bob-Stoebenau
I have a 30" base cabinet with a single top drawer and two doors. The chase would land right in the middle of the cabinet on the back side. It is 6" wide x 6" deep.
Joe_Carrick
Bob, I would use an 18" deep Base Cabinet in this case and a custom Counter Top. That's going to be much less expensive to build and install.
