Larry_Sweeney
I'm sure most would say this is a little anal, but it's just the way I am. At 76 I'm not going to try and change. Am I missing something? In the process of setting up a new title block, in this blocked area for my "layout title" macro, I would like to have whatever is in this block to be centered both ways in the block whether it's one, two or three lines of script. It will center left to right, but not from top to bottom. The written script always starts at the top of the lined block. Do I just have to "live with it" or am I missing a "trick"? Solution KilianDrafting Posted 22 hours ago Solution Share Posted 22 hours ago Make the text box the size of your border. Go to the Attributes panel in the text specification dialog and select "centered" under vertical alignment 1
Rookie65
Try just taking the text box and then use the centering tool along the vertical axis, and you're done

Larry_Sweeney
Rich................................I was using Rich Text, which doesn't have the same options as just plain text. At least I think that was my main problem. Why was I using Rich text you ask? I can't really give you that answer other than that's what I use. Should I be using plain text? In this case I guess I should be. I just thought I had more options using Rich text. Either way, your suggestion worked and the text is doing what I wanted it to do. Thank you. Have a great day.
JonathanK
Probably the biggest notable reason to use rich text instead of standard text is that with rich text you have the ability to have different font "attributes" within the same text box. Meaning one line can be underlined, on line can be a different color, etc.. Standard text attributes apply to the entire text box. For a layout title block, probably not a bad thing to use standard text. But for room labels or other plan notes, rich text might be a better option. But it would be nice to have that feature to be able to center vertically on rich text.
