tbuck1db Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM I've got the layers marked as "framing" so not sue what is preventing my deck framing from generating this time. Westford addition.zip
Rookie65 Posted yesterday at 05:30 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:30 PM (edited) make sure it's "deck framing",turned on, and not "floor framing" is my guess? I can't open the plan since I don't have Chief Premiere. Or if you changed anything, make sure that you have deck framing set to build again under the "deck" setting. What did you get for a solution when you asked this question the first time? Edited yesterday at 05:32 PM by Rookie65 add words
DBCooper Posted yesterday at 05:46 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:46 PM I found a couple of problems: 1. Your deck room is marked as having a floor finish that looks like mahogany on top of foam. Not sure if this was your intent, but if you check the "default" box it will go away. If you want a wood floor on top of your deck, then you probably don't want to make it "framing". If you don't want planks, then why is this room even a deck? You might be better off making it a porch or something else? 2. Your deck structure has planking that is marked as "joists" and it should be marked as "planking" instead. 3. Your deck defaults are a bit messed up since your deck structure does not have any framing (joists).

The settings also keep changing to other things, without me touching them.

robdyck Posted yesterday at 07:27 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:27 PM The deck framing is there. The siding extends over it. Did you look at it from the underside?
tommy1 Posted yesterday at 07:29 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:29 PM If the deck was built on the first floor, you'll probably need to go to the foundation level to see the framing.
