GRSmsdb555
Hello Chiefs, Does anyone know how to get a more consistent result in layout than this? I'm adding a 'Rectangular Polyline' in layout then choosing the fill color as shown. I'd like all elements to appear just as the cabinetry and countertops do. Unfortunately under the 'plan material' selection for fixtures there is no 'None Transparent' option. The same is true for the walls on either side of the shower. Thanks in advance! Gawdzira
One way, although everything fades out a bit, is to make a polyline over the entire room and add a solid color with transparency. (x7 only) This has 80% transparency.
CJSpud
Have you tried working in plan rather than layout. Select a room and assign a solid fill color to the room and then in the line style tab, make sure the fill is in back group. You could set this up with an anno set and layer set to your spec's. Joe_Carrick
Curt's right. Do as little as possible in Layout. Learn to work in the Plan and use Annosets and Layer Sets to get what you want sent to Layout.
Gawdzira
Oops. I forgot to mention that my image was done in plan. I can not imagine doing this in layout.
RobUSMC
I have set up polyline solids with multiple colors and placed them in the Cabinet Wall, Base, etc layer. I use these when I want to specify how and where I want to have a custom finished bottom to a cabinet.
HumbleChief
Easy to do as Curt, Joe and Alan suggest. http://www.screencast.com/t/Hts8zoQvM
