DRyeHD
This has probably been asked numerous times but I can't find a solution in the discussions. I have a wall created to use rock part wat up a wall behind a wood stove. When I try to join the walls, I can't get the trim to butt to the rock (on the right) or get the baseboard off (on the left). The "edit wall layer intersections" don't have the tools to do this (that I can see). I know this is minor, but is there an easy way to correct this? The .PLN file is attached as a .ZIP file. Any input is appreciated - even a reference to a discussion on the solution. Morgan2zip.zip
PitMan71
I can't open your drawing. I am on X16. What method did you use to create the stone section? Is that a region or invisible walls?
DRyeHD
It's an X17.pln. I built the wall with the wall specification DBX.
DBCooper
I didn't look at your plan but you might try using the wall material region instead of a different wall type. I don't think it will cut the room molding automatically but since you won't see it, you might not care. Whenever I have problems with auto room moldings I just use the "make room molding poly" tool to convert it to a manual one and then fix it. Just need to remember to fix it again if you move any walls or doors.

Hi Damon, Place 0" thickness room dividers where the two walls come together. This will fix your problem:
mtldesigns Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM (edited) @DRyeHD As DBC mentions above, if this isn't a room change, just a material section on part of a wall, the Wall Material Region is the way to go. And again, what DBC says about the molding. oops, sorry no audio. follow the curser, :-) Recording 2025-09-05 233157 test wall.mp4 Recording 2025-09-05 233410 test wall.mp4 Edited yesterday at 03:40 AM by mtldesigns
