derek884
I use magic plan on my ipad to create a layout because it is super easy. I would like to import this layout into Home Designer Suite 2016. MagicPlan exports into a dxf file. It doesn't look like HD has any good option of importing layout. I do not see a dxf option. Is my only option to recreate it? Kbird1
HD Pro is the only title that imports DXF I think . maybe HD Arch. too? The Home Designer Forum is over here: https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/ You could check out Room Planner by Chief/HD for Ipad too here : http://roomplanner.chiefarchitect.com/
natureinspired
For anyone still looking for an answer to this question, I just tried importing a dxf from MagicPlan into CA Pro. The polylines import, but it is not a working drawing. It is about like a PDF, where I will have to use it as an image layer and re-create the entire floor plan. lbuttery
HD PRO users can benefit from following ChiefTalk as PRO has many manual features like Chief Premier has Just understand PRO's limits and if you post on Chieftalk please clarify that you are using PRO and that some of the suggestions may not apply to PRO Lew

Current versions of Home Desiger software now import .dxf and .dwg files, like Chief Premier. Anyone still using ancient software should not expect much present time support. lbuttery
Ryan: as I stated they need to be aware of the limitations of HD PRO so they can evaluate whether a Premier solution will work for them Lew
