TennVol
How best to have the crown molding follow the vaulted ceiling and also eliminate the horizontal crown molding on this wall? Thanks.
ericepv
To remove the molding from just one wall, open the DBX for the wall and in the 'General' tab, check 'No Room Moldings Interior/Exterior'. To get the crown to follow the vault, until Chief adds that option, you'll have to draw it as a polyline and convert it to a molding.
TennVol
Thanks. Was hoping the vaulted molding may now have been an option, and I just missed it. Oh well...
DBCooper
Actually, it's pretty easy to do this. Just select the room with the crown molding and use the "make room molding polyline tool". This tool will convert the automatic room molding into a custom molding so that you don't have to draw it yourself. Then make an elevation view looking at the wall with the vault. All you need to do is add a beak point in the middle and just drag it up to the peak.
