Why is text specification editing so slow in X16

Why is text editing in large text blocks such as specifications so slow in X16? It was a problem years ago (can't remember what release) but it's been fine for the last few versions. I've been waiting for a program update that would hopefully address it. Chief always issued a few updates as the months went by but surprisingly there hasn't been any updates issued to X16.

 

Anyone else notice this?

 

I'm using Arial and its specifications on a full 24 x 36 sheet broken into two detail blocks.

I haven't seen this either but I did have a couple of thoughts... 

 

Are you using the latest update?  They did release several but I kind of doubt they are going to release anymore since I don't think X17 is that far out.

 

Did you ever report this to Chief?  Expecting them to fix something without reporting it isn't usually going to work.  

 

You might want to post a plan with one of these large blocks to see if other people see the same problem.  Could be something in the text or it could just be something going on with your machine.
