Cadwork22
I need to create a small Mezzanine in the garage -20' walls in garage. Do you use railings or perhaps a second floor? Thanks in advance Michael
Cadwork22
If I try drawing a small Mezzanine as a second floor, this is what happens...

rgardner
Yes you need a second floor in that portion of the building.

Thanks in advance Michael Easiest way is to draw a landing from the stair tool and add railings to the sides that need railings. You can add stairs to your mezzanine as well and they behave as they should.

Cadwork22
Also, Sky lights aren’t showing in the window schedule, any ideas??
Solution DBCooper Posted August 23 Solution Share Posted August 23 You might need to open the schedule and check the box to include skylights. They don't get included automatically by default.

Ever try showing framing of a landing for construction documents? Granted depending on the need of the OP he may just be trying to render it which means that he can use a landing. However if he needs to do anything else with it then a second floor for that portion will be much easier.
