GeneDavis
This is only a problem for me on the front elevation of this plan. There is a line that shows up in the plot line elevation view that I want to go away, but do not know how. See the pics. I show the live elevation in the plan, and the selected area is showing up in the dialog as "exterior room." Its top edge is what is producing the line on the plot line elevation I have in layout. The condition is not happening on the sides and rear elevations. What could this be and how to fix?
HyperTrex
Anytime I've had that happen in my plans it's been when I've dragged the wall around in camera views or the walls are misaligned.
para-CAD
Does balloon framing fix that rake wall?

KenL-sdd
Gene, Delete the upper wall. You have a Balloon frame and an upper wall.
GeneDavis
Losing the wall removed the window but I got it back. Thanks.
JWoelkeGOGHomes
I've had this problem on and off for years now and it's almost always an alignment issue with tops and bottoms of walls. When reverting to default tops and bottoms (when I want them at the default) doesn't work, "updating" the plot line view a few times in layout would usually fix it. Today though, had it happen between a main level wall and an attic wall (gable wall above main level wall) and NOTHING would work. I redrew whole walls, quadruple checked alignment, everything... I finally just switched the main level wall to balloon framed and that fixed it. Just wanted to add this workaround to this thread in case someone has a similar issue and it pops up in a google search like it did for me. I'll acknowledge that if you do the whole build framing thing (I don't, only provide arch plans) this may not be a solution for you.
