Connecting Stairs between two landings with winders....

In short, I am using x15 and I am trying to create a staircase that starts with a two winder landing, then up the stairs to another two winder landing. I am able to create the winders, but don't know how to make them connect and reach the next level.

The landing and stairs must be snapped to the same location of cojoined lines. This is hard to do because the lines that appear in plan are not the snap points. It takes some trail and error to get the snapping points. You have to trust the snap settings to guide you to the correct place rather than based on what you see. In other news, are you designing this for the U.S.? If so, those winders are not to code.

Try this:

 - place an L-shape stair with winders.

 - delete one of the stair sections.

 - stretch the remaining stair section so that it has as many steps as you want.

 - now select both winder landings

 - use the copy tool and reflect about the stair center

 - remove the railings at the start/end of the landings

 

You should end up with something like the picture below:
