mattivester
As shown in the screen shot below, I have somehow managed to create a plan that generates seemingly random framing members protruding through roof planes as well as one area where the soffits refuse to meet. I've tried adjusting walls and roof planes, but I'm not sure where to start here? 20231009 Plan.zip
TeaTime
Happens when you haven't defined Attic rooms on the floor above.
TeaTime
huh. Usually it's floor OSB peeking out, but in this case your Ceiling Structure has an OSB layer on top, and the roof is so low it's cutting through
mattivester
I put the OSB as attic floor for storage.
TeaTime
Makes sense. By my measurement the roof needs to come up at least 3 3/4" so that the OSB can't protrude through. Marquee Select Similar & Transform\Replicate tools make quick work of this sort of adjustment.
basketballman
Maybe framing needs to be updated ( re-built ) ?
mattivester
I have rebuilt framing, but that's a good suggestion! I'd rather not raise the roofs so I can keep the standard wall heights, but maybe I can pull the OSB flooring back in the attic by using some invisible walls. mattivester
Any ideas why soffits won't meet up at gable/hip transitions?
mattivester
It seems checking the "flush eves" box fixed the soffit issue (sort of). I don't want flush eves on the adjoining wall, so now I have to figure out how to accomplish that...

The soffit plane follows the line of their roof plane. In order for the soffits to correctly join, a roof plane would need to be able to generate more than one soffit plane per eave.
